Key Features
  • For Podcasts, Interviews, and Speeches
  • Connects Directly to iOS/Android Device
  • Electret Condenser Microphone Element
  • Cardioid Polar Pattern Reduces Ambience
Achieve enhanced voice clarity for your next podcast, interview, or speech recording with the IK Multimedia iRig Mic Cast, an ultra-compact microphone designed to improve signal quality when used in place of your iOS/Android device's built-in mic. The electret condenser element features a cardioid polar pattern to minimize pickup of off-axis sounds such as room ambience and background noise. Thanks to a front-facing switch, the mic sensitivity can be set to accommodate close-up or distant sources.

Protruding from the pocket-sized enclosure is a 3.5mm TRRS plug, which connects directly to your compatible mobile device. The side-panel 3.5mm jack allows convenient real-time monitoring through your preferred headphones without having to disconnect the iRig Mic Cast from your device. Use the supplied desktop stand to position your iPhone or iPod touch at the optimal angle. The iRig Mic Cast works with regular phone calls, VoIP programs, and the included iRig Recorder and VocaLive apps.
