How does this attach to the light stand? I can't tell from the pictures. Is there another part to purchase to connect the boom to, for example, C-stand?
You would use a grip head (Kupo's term), basically a special vice with a stand receptacle. The boom's slotted plate slides into the grip head, which then attaches to a normal stand's stud.
