National Geographic 2344 overview

  • 1Description

The khaki Earth Explorer National Geographic 2344 Small Shoulder Bag from National Geographic is an excellent get-around bag for holding a minimal amount of equipment. With its capacity for a DSLR with two short lenses, flash and some accessories, this bag will get you through a day in the field along with whatever additional accessories you require. If you prefer video, the bag will hold a small camcorder and accessories instead of traditional photo gear.

The bag is made from a cotton hemp blend and contains a padded interior. Dual padded interior dividers help separate your gear and prevent bumps, abrasions and scratches. These dividers will also help you organize your gear and eliminate the need to hunt through the bag for a specific piece.

This is a fast access bag that is protected by a strong zippered flap that guards the contents from the potential damages of weather. A front zippered accessory pocket is large enough for your phone, PDA, MP3 player, pens, keys and other small items. There are also two additional small touch fastened pockets on the front flap that will hold additional small items like keys, business cards or batteries. The bag is carried by its non-removable shoulder strap or top grab handle that is handy when you're retrieving the bag from a car seat or closet.

The padded main compartment holds and protects a DSLR camera or small camcorder, with media accessories
Two modular dividers enable specific equipment setup
Quickly withdraw your camera at any time
A zipper-sealed flap protects your gear from the elements
The front pocket stores media accessories
Carrying options include a thick shoulder strap or handle

    National Geographic 2344 reviews

Earth Explorer National Geographic 2344 Small Shoulder Bag (Khaki) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Average usage, attractive looking Though it's not very practical for a quick access, this bag holds almost everything i need in my urban hike. Wallet, keys, two mobiles, sunglasses, and of course my beloved rangefinder camera. It could also hold a 400 ml bottled water i usually bring. I like the style & color to goes with my casual tropical outfits. It is also considerably strong for a cloth bag. I happened to accidentally snatched the bag to my door while in a hurry, just to find the doorknob fell off instead. The unique color scheme & the material makes it even better looking in ragged condition. It goes with my style & it even creates more charm in its worn-out unattractiveness. Love this bag!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it! Everything arrived on time and undamaged. The price was right and I am so happy with my pack! We just got back from Natural Bridge Ky and the lens was perfect! I was able to take far and close up pics of all the scenery and my family without switching lens. I could easily grab my camera out of my pack on a whim. It was light enough to hike and protected my camera. I also carried my video camera, wallet, and small items in the pack! The strap was not the most comfortable but it also wasn't the worst. We did hike long strenuous trails so I'm sure that played into it as well! I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed I used on a previous trip to the DR. The bag is smaller which I like, not bulky. Has enough pockets to store passport, money, keys, cell phone. I could fit my Nikon and lens in the main compartment with some room to spare. Two lenses would be tough but I was not traveling with much. Bought for a trial period but after the trip I plan on keeping my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great functional bag at low cost I am very pleased with my new bag for my new Nikon D7000. I was looking for a simple bag that doesn't 'screams' photo but looks more neutral. I have now used it during my vacation in NY and I am very pleased with it. It protects my camera, is easy to use and looks great and on top of this it is cheap (when you buy it in US ).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great small waterproof bag I needed a bag to accommodate a Sony NEX7 w/18-55 lens and a 55-210 plus external flash and small battery charger w/spare batteries for camera and flash. This is perfect. I had a National Geographic bag for my old Canon SX-1is and it lasted me 5 plus years protecting the camera on trips via air, sea, and car. Hence I knew it would be durable and B&H had it in stock and at best price. Only disappointment is movable interior partitions. That can't be moved everywhere - just where the Velcro strips are.
