    Marshall Electronics V-BR5-CM reviews

V-BR5-CM Battery Adapter for V-LCD50 Field Monitor is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should have got it sooner. I was originally using rechargeable AA batteries to power my LCD50 but because they only last about an hour I would need to have multiple sets to get me through the day. It worked but it was kind of a pain to charge 5-6 sets of batteries. So I finally took the plunge and bought the adapter for Canon BP batteries and the difference was staggering. As soon as the package arrived I tossed a Canon brand BP-955 (from my C100) on it and timed how long it would last. I was hoping for around 4 hours of use. Well, 4 hours came and went and then 5, then 6 and finally after 7 1/2 hours connected to my DVD player (to simulate being used on a camera) it finally died. I calculated that If I put a BP-970 on it that I would get somewhere around 11 hours of constant use. Needless to say it's one of the best investments I've ever made. The only issue I found was that when I put the battery on for the very first time, it was a little difficult to take off due to it being a very tight fit. But I would much rather it be too tight than too loose and have it rattling around. I feel that with a little use it will be easier to remove the battery. It also has a small safety latch that prevents the battery from falling off if you under-sling the monitor. (Marshall really thought of everything) Bottom line: It's worth every penny.
