Canon EF 28mm f/2.8 IS USM Overview

Wide-angle 28mm f/2.8 lens is designed for full-frame Canon EF-mount DSLRs, however can also be used with APS-C models where it provides a 44.8mm equivalent focal length.
Bright f/2.8 maximum aperture benefits working in low-light conditions and also permits working with shallow depth of field techniques.
One aspherical element helps to suppress spherical aberrations and distortion for a high degree of sharpness and accurate rendering.
Super Spectra coating has been applied to individual elements to minimize ghosting and flare for greater contrast and color neutrality when working in strong lighting conditions.
An Optical Image Stabilizer helps to minimize the appearance of camera shake by up to four shutter speed stops to better enable working in low-light conditions and with slower shutter speeds.
A ring-type Ultrasonic Motor (USM) is employed to deliver fast, precise, and quiet autofocus performance as well as full-time manual focus override.
Rounded seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing out of focus quality that benefits the use of shallow depth of field and selective focus techniques.

question

Will this work on rebel t6s?
Asked by: Mike
Yes, and it's a very nice lens for a cop sensor Canon, though if I had it to do over I might go with the 24mm, 2.8, which is a few bucks more. The wife and I went to Europe last year and I used the 28mm for inside photos where flash was not allowed. My walk around lens is the Canon 15-85mm, 3.5-5.6 which is worth every penny. When on foot this two lenses proved to be very useful and are very nice lenses. the 28mm is very sharp with nice colors. The 24 is supposed to be a tad less sharp but not by much.

question

Hi there! Is this lens compatible with a canon 20d?
Asked by: Anonymous
I love this lens. I've used it mostly for landscape photos with my Canon 6D (full frame). I looked online and found this quote..... It's a moderate wide angle on film and full-frame cameras like my Canon 5D, a normal lens on 1.6x cameras like the Rebel and 30D, and a wide-normal on 1.3x cameras like the Canon 1D Mk III. It appears that this lens is compatible with any Canon camera.
