The UpClose G2 7-21x40 Zoom Porro Binocular (Clamshell Packaging) from Celestron is a nifty and neatly compressed binocular into a concise ergonomic form factor. The classic Porro prism design lays out better three-dimensional imaging with less light loss. Zoom magnification from 7x to 21x is smoothly exercised via the convenient side-placed ridged thumb lever. This binocular possesses multi-coated optics for brighter, sharper, higher contrasted viewing with very reasonable light transmission of the 40 millimeter objectives. It boasts an exceptionally wide-angle AAoV of 67.2 degrees at 21x magnification. The outdoor factor has not been ignored. Water resistant with rubber covered aluminum housing, it is endowed with finger ridges and thumb indents. It's easy to hold and hard to put down. The rubber eyecups and the dioptric adjustment furnish individualized settings making its use more comfortable. The G2 7-21x40 Zoom binocular offers a moderately small size factor but is nevertheless provided with a tripod thread for long term viewing.
