Bushnell 190125 overview

  • 1Description

The Legend HD 10x25 from Bushnell is a high-performance compact roof prism binocular with outstanding optics. Its lightweight yet rugged magnesium chassis and double hinged closed bridge affords this fine optic a trim profile, while ensuring years of dependable use.

The Legend HD is configured with fully multicoated extra-low dispersion (ED) lenses for optimum optical performance. ED glass lenses offer an outstanding level of viewing performance providing amazing color rendition, enhanced resolution, and vivid contrast while virtually eliminating chromatic aberration and color-fringing. The resulting views reveal distinct details that viewers with standard binoculars would miss out on.

Each lens is custom-coated with Bushnell's proprietary ultra wide band coating system to maximize light transmission across the entire visible spectrum. This anti-reflective coating process optimizes each lens' brightness and contrast levels, while allowing colors to be rendered accurately. Finally, the exterior lens surfaces are treated with a water repellent RainGuard HD coating to minimize light dispersion from haze, mist, fog, and rain.

This Legend HD sports a rugged yet lightweight and compact waterproof housing with a magnesium chassis. The interior is nitrogen purged and o-ring sealed for reliable all-weather service, and a locking diopter is provided on the right ocular for individualized viewing comfort.

Bushnell 190125 reviews

Legend Ultra HD 10x25 Binocular (Black) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Hunting I compared many models and weighted the various benefits and disadvantages with larger/smaller models. I have a large set of binoculars but they are just too big to sneak around the woods chasing White Tails. These are perfect. You can fit them in your pocket and they are light. They have the dioptic adjusting knob so that you can set them to your individual eye strengths. If anything happens to these I will order another pair asap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny These binos are excellent. Contrary to some reviews, the they do not feel cheap in the slightest. They are well built, compact and very light for the quality of build and materials. The strap is really not as bad as some people note in reviews. Yes, it's brown quasi leather but it's much better than some straps that I saw when doing research. Overall these puppies are worth every bit of B&H's selling price. The images are shockingly clear and crisp. Being able to zoom at 6 feet is a nice touch too. I would recommend these to anyone looking for an all-around set of binoculars for sports, travel, etc. Best part, Bushnell will refund your money at any time during the life of the bino if you're not satisfied. They also cover the Legend line in cases of accidental breakage. Took a shot and super happy I did.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not durable the Legend Ultra HD compact performed well for about 6 months, but the eye relief cups and hinges are now so loose and floppy that they are difficult to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very sharp; easy to look through These are replacing some very old Bausch and Lomb compacts which have seen better days. I also have larger binocs (Canon) but value portability for some applications. Truthfully, I remember the bad old days when Bushnell made stuff that wasn't on the same level as Nikon, Pentax, or Bausch and Lomb. Or so it seemed to me. But viewing through these is a pleasure, and the sharpness stacks up well with much more expensive binocs. They are set up for eyeglass wearers and non wearers. Eye relief is good for me. I cannot begin to tell you how much I hate lousy optics and manufacturers who make them. But going forward, I will definitely consider Bushnell Legend and higher series for other needs. The good reviews turned out to be accurate. They come with a case I probably won't use, so it'll be interesting to see how well they hold up in my pockets. Nice!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Busnell's Secret With the likes of some European brand names you'd think it would be tough to find a great pair of binoculars at less than $200, but Bushnell has a great line called the Legend series. This pair is light, compact, fog and water proof, clear and bright. Amazing and perfect for travel use. What intrigued me was it's magnesium chassis. It wasn't plastic or aluminum. All this in a great simple layout. Perfect! I just happened to find this on a prodcut search and would have just brushed over it, but the construction specifications caught my eye and I expect to enjoy many years of use. There are two comments, I would like to see slightly larger strap eyelets to allow use of a variety of straps and lens caps--though lens caps could be purchased seperately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Runner up great Bino's I have two or three bino's I use for falconry and spotting raptors and Identifying birds means I need detail, these fit the bill. Plus these are small & lightweight. I have other expensive bino's and these compare equal to the compacts I have. We'll see how they last in the long run, but so far great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If only they had a 8x25 version You can't fault the quality of these. They are much sharper than my Vangaurd or Bushnell H20 10x25's. I would much prefer 8x25 with a wider FOV, which is a bit on the narrow side even for the 10x25 size. Over all an excellent buy, but I hope Bushnell comes out with an 8x25 version.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handy pocket binos Tested for 6 months under different outdoor conditions, hazy, foggy, bright sun, rainy, sunset hours, etc. The ED lens return with sharp images, esp under clear bright sky. Lightweight and handy to use and focus (with the middle finger). But do not expect same power as its 10x42 ED series, given the concession of its smaller object lens. Yet, the brown leather-look neck strap does not go with the binos for it is too thick, wide and bulky to fold up. Must improve.
