    Plantronics HL10 reviews

HL10 Handset Lifter for CS Wireless System is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, but gears give out It works as described. However, there is a possibility of ruining the product if one chooses to lift the receiver by hand instead of using the device w/ earpiece. Specifically, the lifter's gears become damaged when the receiver catches the lifter and in effect forces the lifter up at a swift rate. Do this twice, and you've ruined your lifter. To avoid this make sure the lifter is far enough down so that lifting the receiver by hand will not catch the lifter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product - 6 Yrs. Old and Going Strong! I have had my HL10 Lifter for at least 6 years now. I work in an office with moderate to heavy call volume and have never, ever had a problem with it. I took it out of the box, aligned my handset, which took 5 to 10 minutes, and was up and running. I've never had an issue with it not lifting the handset or any of the other problems some had stated.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not lift This lifter rarely worked when I first purchased it. I had to fiddle with the wires everytime that I wanted it to work, and even that was sporadic. After much frustration, I gave up. I tried to troubleshoot again today. Still does not work. Product does not do its job - lift. Product does not work as stated by Plantronics.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from just awful This contraption is ridiculous to try to use. The only way it will hand the handset up properly is if there is a rubber band around the lifter and that handset, AND THEN, the rubber band has to continuously be adjusted because it slips. If this is what it takes to be wireless, I'll just stay wired...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from High Failure Rate We have several hundred of these devices in service. The most frequent problem I have encountered is that the lifter stops picking up the incoming call, failing to sending the 3 alert tones to the headset - a hugh issue to anyone that spends any time away from their immediate work area. To date, the only way to resolve the issue has been to replace the lifter. I question the quality of the built-in microphone circuitry that is supposed to pick up the ringer (installing the external mic does not help).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from functional - bu tno teasy to adjust difficult to adjust (alt least to my Nortel phone) - does not lift and replace uniformly- even on the lowest setting - lift can sometimes completely displace the handsel , and one needs to manually replace it

Rated 3 out of 5 by from They missed one big thing Great product if you are always answering phone calls away from your desk. However, if you're like me and spend your day on the phone at your desk, this is a very literal pain to press your ear every time you answer a call. There should be a button on the unit to press to lift the handset. Now I'm looking for a manual lifter from days past to replace it.
