Bushnell 19150 overview

  • 1Description

The black Universal Tripod Mount for Binocular from Bushnell is an accessory that enables mounting to a standard 1/4" tripod thread. The mount's adjustable strap and buckle are designed to fit most binoculars and bridge configurations. For that set of long-range binoculars without a tripod thread, the Universal Tripod Mount is up to the task of stabilizing your view.

Universal Tripod Mount for Binocular (Black) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from I should have bought this a long time ago I bought this to mount my Canon IS 10 X 30 binos, which do not have a threaded insert like most other binos have, and it works just fine. I tried to mount my standard 8 X 50 binos, but the strap that wraps around flattens them out... that is, once mounted there is no way (that I can see) to adjust the inter-ocular distance of the binos. The design of the Canons doesn't let this happen. It doesn't really matter, however, because those lasrger binos do have a threaded insert and can be mounted on a tripod in the customary fashion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from With Nikon Travelite V As others have said, this gizmo is large for a small pair of binoculars. With no adaptation, the mount's platform blocked me from getting close to the eyepiece. I solved this by cutting off a large chunk of the platform with a utility knife and now everything is fine with the Travelite. This is just a size mismatch, there's nothing inherently wrong with the mount.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Universal Tripod Mount When I go hiking I usually want to stop and look through my Binoculars several times. With the aid of a mono pod and this little mount I can strap my Leitz 7x42s on without the least bit of worry. Put a bit of foam rubber over the bins and you have a mount as good as those that cost 10x more. As always keep the neck strap on when viewing and have a great time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Better than nothing Was planning on using this to mount my binoculars on a tripod in a blind. The universal tripod mount is OK but I would suggest that is you plan on using this often, you would probably be better off with binoculars with a builtin tripod mount. It is easy to use but doesn't provide the stability that a direct binocular to tripod mount

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Product The Universal Tripod Mount by Bushnell solved all my problems for binoculars that do not come with 1/4 thread to mount on tripod. So far they have secured firmly everything from my 7x32 Nikons to 10x50 Tascos perfectly. I have also strapped in monocular's and night vision set-ups that don't have a 1/4 thread. I have not found anything yet I couldn't securely strap in with this mount. This is a great product idea. Truly worth every penny!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid But A Bit Large Got this to hold my binoculars (Nikon Monarch 7 8x30) on a monopod for stability. It helps that it uses has a platform that can support a digital SLR and can be changed from binocular to camera fairly quickly. The platform attaches to a tripod/monopod via a standard 1/4 inch thread. The strap to hold the device (binocular/field scope/camera/Lens) is long enough for everything I will ever use it for. The quick release is easy operate as is the adjustable strap. The strap measures 26 inches total including the buckle (closed) and platform. The platform itself measures 4 7/8 inches square. The reason I gave 4 stars is that the platform is a bit large for my Monarch 7. This is a smaller midsized binocular. The binoculars fit on the platform, but because of the tight fit I cannot get close to the eyepieces. If I move the binocular further back to allow clearance, the lens covers get pulled up and cover part of the objective lens. I will keep the mount because the cost isn't really significant and I can still use it for the camera or full sized binoculars. It is a bit of a disappointment that I cannot use it for the main reason I got it. I think a rectangular shape with maybe a 3 inch side would be more practical in actual use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Flexibility I use this universal tripod mount for binocular astronomy. My binoculars do not have a built in tripod mount, so this product is very helpful. Although it is a universal mount, the stability is good and I can get a tight fit on my binoculars (Tasco 10x50mm). A great product at a great price!
