The SBG901 SURFboard Wireless Cable Modem Gateway from Motorola is your complete 802.11b/g networking solution. With an integrated Wi-Fi access point, you can not only receive your Ethernet connection, but wirelessly distribute that connection to up to 253 desktop computers, laptops, and other Ethernet or wireless devices. Data speeds of up to 38Mbps allow for ultra fast transmission of data, while the integrated front panel LEDs makes monitoring and troubleshooting of your network simple.

Setup and configuration your new wireless network is straightforward with the integrated wireless paring button and plug and play installation. The plug and play compatibility allows for trouble-free initial setup of your modem. Simply plug in your co-ax cable directly into the modem, and then plug an Ethernet cable from your modem into a compatible computer for initial configuration. Once configured, you can then utilize the wireless pairing button to add any number of Wi-Fi enabled devices such as tablets, smart phones, and computers.

Once configured, security and reliability become a concern. This modem gateway comes with intuitive, built-in web-based diagnostics allowing for easy troubleshooting. The web-based tool gives you complete control over your entire network allowing you to restrict devices, configure passwords, and monitor network traffic as well as a variety of other important network actions. Integrated security features found within this modem gateway include Wi-Fi protected setup and 64/128-bit Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) encryption. Each of these security features allows you to place an added layer of security to your network ensuring your sensitive data remains secure.

Connecting your devices to the modem gateway is a breeze, with the integrated wireless pairing button and plug and play installation. With standard Internet software support, you can get online in no time. Once online, the front-panel LEDs indicate your online status and simplify troubleshooting.
With a stylish and space-saving enclosure, this modem gateway is a model of efficiency. The Mobility of a wireless LAN and the simplicity of "no new wire" technology makes setup of your Internet network wire free. You can also take advantage of the two diverse internal antennas to enhance wireless connectivity.
Versatile and Convenient
The DOCSIS 2.0 certified modem gateway is interoperable with DOCSIS 1.1. The integrated RJ-45 Ethernet port and auto MDX cross-cable detection enable flexible, high-speed connectivity. With an integrated 802.11b/g wireless access point, and support for up to 16 service IDs you have room for expansion as well as future enhanced features. The modem is compatible with Windows, Macintosh and Unix allowing customers to network up to 253 desktop computers, laptops and other Ethernet or wireless devices to create a full Class C network. Take advantage of enterprise capabilities and VPN pass-through options for enterprise configuration.

With remote configuration and monitoring from the headend using SNMP and TFTP, along with the built-in web-based diagnostics you can easily diagnose and troubleshoot network issues. You can manage data and wireless networks using a web-based interface. Secure your wireless network with Wi-Fi protected setup (WPS) functionality.
