Lowepro 150 overview

  • 1Description

The mica Photo Traveler 150 Backpack from Lowepro is a moderately priced backpack that holds more than its weight in gear. It's rated to hold a compact DSLR such as a Canon T3i with an 18-200 lens attached as well as 2-3 additional small lenses such as a 70-300mm f/3.5-5.6 and 50mm f/1.8 plus a flash and some accessories. Or, if you prefer a compact  or mirrorless system, it will accommodate that plus up to 3 small lenses. There's also a dedicated, padded pocket for your iPad.

The exterior of the bag is made from a durable 600D Oxford Polyester PU (polyurethane) combined with nylon mesh. The inside is also polyester, rated at 200D. The combination of both produces a very lightweight pack that is great for day trips.

The interior of the bag contains padded, movable dividers that allow you to configure the bag to suit your equipment needs. The exterior front has a quick-access zippered pocket for small stuff like keys, wallet or cell phone. In addition, the bag contains Lowepro's SlipLock attachment loops that accept optional pouches. The side mesh airline pocket is perfect for holding a small or table top tripod.

The Photo Traveler 150 is carried by its padded, adjustable and contoured shoulder straps. The backpad, like the shoulder straps, is also padded for maximum comfort. It also has a quick-grab top handle for rapid retrieval from your car or closet.

For anyone who needs small, lightweight and extremely manageable photo backpack, this one is hard to beat - especially since it comes from Lowepro - a company with a reputation for designing the ultimate in outdoor bags. It's backed by their lifetime warranty.

    Lowepro 150 reviews

Photo Traveler 150 Backpack (Mica) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 74.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Walk-About Pack Remember the old George Carlin routine where you take vacation to Hawaii with all your luggage, and then take a smaller version of that luggage to go visit another island? New York...planes and trains got me there, with my luggage and the big Lowepro pack. The Traveler 150 was packed into my luggage with clothing and personal items stuffed in it. Then, in the hotel, the 150 gets packed with another camera body, lens, batteries, snack, rain cover, etc, and I hit the streets with friends for the photo mission. It is light weight, high quality, holds everything needed for an all day tour...and does not look like a camera backpack.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not what I expected I got the bag to hold my mirror less camera and 2 lenses, extra battery etc. It does a great job of that. Plenty of space for a mirrorless system and a few lenses. The only drawback is the size of the bag, and specifically, in relation to your body. I am not large at all. I'm 5'8, 180lbs. And when I put this bag on my back, it looks like a stole a little book bag from a 5 year old child. Proprtionally it is just way off in my oppinion. If you want a smaller bag, and don't mind that look, it is a great bag. Plenty of space for mirrorless, fits my 10 tablet and has great protection and lots of compartments and pockets for various things.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it My Nikon D750 with 24-120mm (similar to 24-70mm in size)will fit if I really struggle to reconfigure. That said, I probably wouldn't pack my setup without breaking it down for traveling. Generally, on hikes, my camera is always in front of me and my other lenses are in the backpack. This bag is perfect size for a day hike stuffed with 3-5 lenses depending on size, up to the nikon 300mm. Can also hold some small snacks, a notebook, battery, and cards. This bag would be awesome for smaller cameras and gear. I have several bags for various situations. This one has already been used several times in the last couple weeks. It's a keeper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This surprised me! When I ordered this bag,I did so from positive reviews. However, the reasonable price concerned me, because this was from LowePro..not a low-quality brand.Of course, with great service,I had the bag in just a couple of days.I must say,I was just a little surprised at the size of the bag...really small.Yet,room for my bridge camera,a waterproof point and shoot,a Metz flash,flash-bracket,camera flash cord, flash gels,Stofen omni bounce,Demb flash diffuser, and a Sekonic light meter.Wow! was I wrong about the size! Plus, the quality is typical for a LowePro product.Would I recommend it? You bet I would!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Building great, but ... I bought a backpack to carry some equipment more focused moments of relaxation, but also have used equipment for booking.Despite being much smaller than I thought - in my nearly 2m tall as a lunchbox is back - this is not the main problem. She is very well built, very nice finish, the pockets are nicely arranged, but missing more options in their division inside page. Missing options for fixing partitions, missing partitions stronger and a larger number of missing divrias.Because of this its carrying capacity was reduced. If you put a lot of equipment runs the risk of friction and damage. Nor are firmly fixed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from the perfect size i have recently downsized from a rather large sized back pack for my canon Mark II camera and several lenses. i now own a fuji x pro1 with a few filters and one lens and find this backpack the perfect fit for me. i would much rather hike longer and lighter than shorter and heavier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The PERFECT little camera backpack This is exactly what I've been searching for and I couldn't be happier with the bag or the price. I'm a professional interiors photographer in NYC and I shoot a lot of real estate in my down time and I frequently need a very basic set up and this fits it easily--Canon 5DMII with 16-35 lens, Filter case, a couple doo dads, one speedlite or my Fuji x-series and a little room for a wallet and some personal effects. Light as a feather and I'm off on my bike with my tripod. I have a bigger bag for more intense shoots, but this suits me beautifully for my quickies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well designed product. This would work well for someone with a smaller DSLR and two lenses. I purchased it for a D7100 with a 16-85 and an additional 70-300 FX VR lens. The lens is a little larger so the bag didn't work for me. If you are interested in this bag, place what you want to carry on a 8 X 10 piece of paper which is close to the interior dimensions. Note; If you watch the LowePro demo be aware the person carrying the bag is a VERY tiny human. I wish this was available in a slightly larger bag. I will probably order a Flipside Sport 10L. B&H made the return VERY easy!
