The Flolight KIT-FL-110HM3 3-Point Lighting Kit - 5400K (110-240VAC) is a great choice for a studio setup when low price, high output, low running cost and soft light are priorities. The kit comes with 3 FL-110HM fixtures which use two 55W fluorescent lamps each to give you an impressive 500W hotlight equivalent each. That's a total of 1,500W of light. The fixtures do it with minimal heat and a low power draw of only 100.6W per head. That means that you won't toast the talent while saving money both on kilowatt usage of the fixture and on AC costs that would have been needed when the hotlights you used turned your studio into a sauna. With a lamp life of about 8,000 hours the FL-110HM is practically maintenance free.

Each fixture comes with 2 lamps, a soft case, gooseneck mount and a 6.0' light stand.

Fluorescents give naturally soft, even light.
The FL-110HM is perfect for studio or location work where power hungry incandescents can quickly overload available power. With just a fraction of the heat of incandescents you also avoid cooking your talent or constantly running air conditioning.
The FL-110HM utilizes two 55W Biax lamps.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LIGHTS, Camera, Action I am a professional videographer, and was looking for the most cost efficient way to get the most bang out of our budget. I originally ordered the Lowell Light Kit, but sent it back due to order error, and decided to order a different brand. I am very apprehensive about off brand items, but I must say, this light kit went above and beyond the call of duty. I would recommend to my other colleagues in the industry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice on a budget These are decent fixtures, with the potential to have the bulbs upgraded to kinoflo bulbs. The gooseneck is a little strange, but I'm sure I'll get used to it. The stands are nice, and breakdown to about a foot. They are lightweight and seem well made. I'm used to traditional light and C-stands, so they too with take some getting used to. The cloth carrying bags get the job done, but I will be upgrading to a hard case for better protection.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great lights for the price! I use the lights mostly for video interviews. They're powerful and easy to transport. The light is soft and hue is perfect. Like any fluorescent light they are a bit fragile, but I knew that when I bought the product. The barn doors are nice too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The best low budget lighting solution. These lights really are great. The enclosures are solid (but plastic) and the stands do what they're made to do, hold the lights. I'm using these lights for a small backdrop setup about 10' high by 12' wide. 2 lights on the backdrop one light on the talent and it works well. They are what I needed for my set up but really stop there. Don't expect to be able to use these on larger set ups as they're just not that powerful. But when you compare these lights with the other budget lights, their solid enclosure and easy portability is way more convenient and professional than those pop up tent like soft boxes with* light fixtures. I only wish I had more money so I could by the 4 bank lights, those would probably be everything I'd ever need. Still, great lights. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cheap and Cheerful - Great bang for buck I can't rate these at 5 stars simply because if you're willing to spend three times as much, the KinoFlo lights will prove to be more rugged and better built all round with a dimmer feature as well. Yes, these are plastic fixture cases. Yes, they're made in China. And yes, they do work great! In fact, for an inexpensive setup, the FloLights just can't be beat. I've used these for product shots and interviews mostly and they couldn't be easier to work with. The gooseneck mount is unweildy as it just sort of sticks out when these are packed, but it works great. The light is even and fairly soft with excellent color rendering. I purchased some Rosco diffusion and added a few clothes pins and the results are good enough that I'm going to do away with the big bulky softboxes I was using before. These really do make life so much easier, and being daylight balanced removes an entire battle with potential mixed light through windows on location shoots. The only real negative I can find is no dimmer provision. Of course doubling the distance will quarter the light... thoughtful placement has worked so far. I will also add that while these may produce a 500 watt equivalent, it's not the same kind of brightness that you would get from a more focused bare bulb arrangement, but compared to my softbox, it's pretty close. In all, as long as you treat them with care, I can find nothing to complain about.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome kit for the price I shoot lots of interviews and these lights are amazing. Great lights for the price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Improved ballast board Dec 2015 I mentioned a problem with the ballast board. Flolight didn't respond to an email I sent, but I called Chuck this January and Flolight sent a replacement board at no charge. Chuck said they changed a resistor to improve reliability. The light works now. The power cord too easily pulls loose from the light. OK for the price, but it's better to buy lighting that will be good for many years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome! These lights were so easy to set up. Fast and not complicated. Put out clean even light resulting in a great shoot. Had them overnighted, for not much money. Arrived the next day, each piece with it's own padded carrying case. Lights stayed relatively cool and were easy to adjust. Excellent recommendation from the folks at B & H. You guys rock! Thanks.
