The 2400 Series QLE2464 4 Gbps Quad-Port Fiber Channel-to-x8 PCIe Adapter from QLogic is a quad-port multi-mode optic configurations Fiber Channel adapter which delivers unprecedented levels of performance, scalability and reliability. It uniquely offers networking functionality, such as intelligent interleaved Direct Memory Access (iiDMA), Dual Read DMA (DRDMA) and Overlapping Protection Domains (OPD). The QLE2464 adapter ensures that the demands of the enterprise-class data center are met. For virtualization at the Fiber Channel port level, the adapter supports N_Port ID virtualization (NPIV) by allowing multiple N_Port IDs to share the same physical Fiber Channel port.

The QLE2464 adapter delivers unprecedented levels of performance and has intelligent networking features specific to enterprise-class data centers. It provides intelligent storage networking features that redefine the enterprise-class adapter providing increased data protection, advanced frame routing and enterprise wide management capabilities. Additionally, the adapter supports standard-based virtualization - N_port ID virtualization (NPIV).
Comprehensive Operating System (OS) Support
The QLE2464 adapter offers the broadest range of support as drivers are available for all the major operating systems and hardware server platforms to ensure OS and hardware server compatibility. A single driver strategy per OS enables storage administrators to easily deploy and manage the adapter in heterogeneous SAN configurations.
Interoperability
Storage partner certification, combined with the agency and regulatory testing, ensures that the adapter meets the world compliance hardware and software specifications. The QLE2464 adapter is tested extensively with third-party hardware along with multiple software applications, to ensure best-in-class SAN interoperability and compatibility.
Simplified Management
QConvergeConsole (QCC) is QLogic's new unified management application that provides single-pane-of-glass management for the broad product line of storage and networking adapters (Fiber Channel, converged networking, NIC and iSCSI). In addition, the QLE2464 adapter supports all the major Application Programming Interface (APIs), giving the end user the flexibility to manage their adapter portfolio using third-party management tools.
The QLE2464 adapter offers intelligent interleaved Direct Memory Access (iiDMA) that ensures maximum utilization of data links.
The adapter features Overlapping Protection Domains (OPD) an intelligient networking function for continuous protection of internal data paths.
The QLE2464 adapter is Multi-ID and N_Port virtualization ready that allows physical ports to be a part of multiple logical networks.
The adapter features three LEDs per port that display real-time status and link activity information.
The QLE2464 adapter's universal boot support manages multiple hardware platforms and boot options.
The adapter features Out-of-Order Frame Reassembly (OoOFR) that reduces congestion and retransmissions.
