The 2400 Series QLE2462 Dual Port PCIe to 4 Gbps Fibre Channel Adapter from QLogic delivers unprecedented levels of performance, scalability and reliability. It uniquely offers intelligent networking functionality, such as intelligent interleaved direct memory access (iiDMA), RDMA and overlapping protection domains (OPD). The Fibre Channel Adapter ensures that the demands of the enterprise-class data center are met. For virtualization at the Fibre Channel port level, the adapter supports N_Port ID virtualization (NPIV) by allowing multiple N_Port IDs to share the same physical Fibre Channel port.

Secure and Scalable
The Fibre Channel Adapter delivers unprecedented levels of performance. It provides intelligent storage networking features that redefine the enterprise-class adapter, increased data protection, advanced frame routing and enterprise-wide management capabilities. Additionally, the adapter supports NPIV by allowing multiple N_Port IDs to share the same physical Fibre Channel port.
Comprehensive Operating System Support
The Fibre Channel Adapter offers the broadest range of support. Drivers are available for all the major operating systems and hardware server platforms to ensure OS and hardware server compatibility. A single driver strategy per OS enables storage administrators to easily deploy and manage the adapter in heterogeneous SAN configurations.
Storage partner certification, combined with agency and regulatory testing, ensures that the adapter meets global hardware and software specifications. The Fibre Channel Adapter is tested extensively with third-party hardware, along with multiple software applications, to ensure best-in-class SAN interoperability and compatibility.
Simplified Management
QLogic's unified management application, QConvergeConsole (QCC), provides single-pane-of-glass management for the broad product line of storage and networking adapters (Fibre Channel, converged networking, NIC and iSCSI). Additionally, the Fibre Channel Adapter supports all major APIs, which provides the end user with the flexibility to manage their adapter portfolio using third-party management tools.
The adapter offers iiDMA, ensuring maximum utilization of data links.
The Fibre Channel Adapter features out-of-order frame reassembly (OoOFR), which reduces congestion and retransmissions.
Its universal boot support feature manages multiple hardware platforms and boot options.
The Fibre Channel Adapter features OPD, an intelligent networking function for continuous protection of internal data paths.
The adapter's T10 CRC ensures end-to-end data integrity across the SANs.
It features three LEDs per port that display real-time status and link activity information.
