Think Tank Photo 710861 overview

  • 1Description

The black Digital Holster 10 V2.0 from Think Tank contains a unique "Pop Down" feature that allows the lens hood to be kept on the camera held in shooting position. For the active shooter, this is a real time-saver. The case is made to hold a small DSLR with a standard kit lens. It is also designed to hold the camera with a tripod plate attached to it so you can readily set up for a long exposure shot without delay.

This is a form-fitting case, somewhat reminiscent of a western holster - ready to draw and shoot at a moment's notice. The case comes with a side rail attachment that accepts a small Modular, Skin, or Multimedia component. This increases the footprint and capacity of the holster as well as your shooting capabilities. The holster comes with Think Tank's "Rotate or Lock" technology for their Pro Speed Belt, Thin Skin Belt or Steroid Speed Belt that permits you to attach the holster with no effort at all. There's also a smooth fabric on the belt to minimize friction against your body.  One of the best features of the bag is that the lid opens away from your body. This enhances access to your gear as well as adding a significant security aspect to the bag since, when opened, the lid acts a shield preventing others from seeing what's inside. The removable shoulder strap and top grab handle are complemented by dual zippers that guard the access to the main compartment.

For accessories, a front stretch pocket can hold lens caps, batteries and other small items. Another touch fastened small accessory pocket is located under the top lid that is perfect for holding a filter. For ultimate protection of the delicate LCD screen on your DSLR, a soft divider fits over the top protecting it from the strap that may be stuffed inside.

There's nothing like networking so the bag comes with a neat business card holder right under the top grab handle. Finally, for maximum protection while outside, the bag comes with a built-in rain cover that is stored in an outside pocket and which can be easily deployed when the weather turns against you. The holster comes with Think Tank's lifetime warranty against manufacturer's defects.

Digital Holster 10 V2.0 (Black) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Right Holster for the Fuji X-T1 I'm a profession photographer and backpacker and need easy access to my Fujifilm X-T1. The Digital Holster 10 can be worn on my chest, carried with the Think Tank belt on my hip or used as a shoulder bag. For backpacking I carry it on my hip. I can get at my camera quick and easy, stow it and keep hiking with little effort. It's the right size for my needs without extra unused space. Like all Think Tank gear it is built to last and comes with an included rain cover. I really can't think of any cons for this item.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A useful product I use this holster bag with a Sony A7 Mk II and the 24-70 Zeiss lens. The bag can accommodate this body/lens combination well and even with the lens hood in shooting position. The zippered extension for the lens barrel can accommodate longer lenses still but not the 70-200mm Sony lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product I'm picky about details and quality of the products I buy. After buying the Nikon 70-200 2.8 VRII, I'm immediately ordered the Think Tank 50 V2.0. I loved the product but it was my mistake. It's too big for my D750 even with a large lens as the one I mentioned above. The 50 V2.0 is good if you use a vertical grip or have the top dslrs which have a larger body. I then ordered the model 20 V2.0. It's perfect for the camera and a day-to-day medium lens and, when stretched down, for the camera and a relatively large lens as my 70-200. Don't buy the 20 V2.0 if you store your camera with a vertical grip. You'll need one of their bigger models. It is sturdy, well built, with a lot of small details that differentiate it from the competition. It's expensive, but, you will enjoy it for a long long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a keeper After using the case for a few weeks now, I really like it. It is well built and has just enough pockets to hold important things like filters, batteries, and cards with out making the case to big and bulky. Really like the fact that the bottom extends for use with different lenses. The rain cover is a nice feature, but I pulled it out to use the pocket for other things. The case can easily stand up to light rain for a little while before it becomes a problem. Wasn't to sure about the top opening up towards you, but after using it for a day at the market and contently taking the camera in and out, it wasn't a problem. Actually it made me feel a little more secure about just leaving the top unzipped in a crowed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A nice holster for Sony A6500. Holds a Sony A6500 with an attached L-bracket and a wrist leash (camera neck strap would be a tight fit), with the Zeiss 16-70MM zoom lens and hood in shooting position. This combo fits best if both the extra divider and top flap are removed. Nice travel walkabout setup with this camera and lens combination. With the bottom of the bag extended, the case will fit the A6500 with FE70-300MM f4.5/5.6 with hood in stored position. Great quality; includes raincover. Front stretchy pocket will fit an extra battery or two, inside top flap pocket will fit a few cards. An extra lens bag could be attached to the side, although I'd be inclined not to use it for a large lens or the 70-300MM zoom - I think it would get awkward. I'd use a speed belt in that instance. Case is easy to attach to a speed belt; includes decent shoulder strap. This case is too small for the Sony A7r2 or 3.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! Another great product from Think Tank! This holster holds my Pentax K-3 II with the 20-40 zoom attached in the short configuration. I hope it will hold the camera with the 55-300 when it arrives on Monday. Think Tank uses awesome materials and the stuff is built to last no doubt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Fit All the good things everyone says about this bag are true. It is extremely well made and very rugged. Well thought through. BEST OF ALL FOR ME is that it provides a PERFECT fit for a Fuji X-T1 (with handgrip plate) plus Fuji 50-140mm lens! It will even accommodate that set up with the Fuji 1.4 converter (tightly). Perfect for my shooting style with two X-T1 bodies.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Oly em5 ii Bought this for Oly em5 ii with Oly 12-100mm and HLD-8g grip. A little disappointed that the holster has to be extended to fit the 12-100 but it still works. (Actually fits tightly un-extended but too snug for my comfort.) Surprised and very pleased, however, that with the holster extended it fits the em5 with the Panasonic Leica 100-400mm just perfectly! Oly 40-150 Pro fits as well without the hood mounted which is too large a diameter. With use of included internal divider it works well with smaller lenses mounted and another prime stored.Bottom line, the Think Tank holster 10 V2.0 can be made to fit just about any combination of the em5 and available lenses. It is more versatile than I had expected and is built to the best of Think Tank standards. Doug
