Think Tank Photo StreetWalker Pro overview

  • 1Description

Take your photography gear on the road with the versatile, well made, black StreetWalker Pro V1 Backpack from Think Tank. Inside the spacious, padded, zippered main compartment are touch-fastening dividers for organizing a gripped pro DSLR with attached 70-200mm f/2.8 lens, four additional lenses, a flash, and the included rain cover. Under the lid are clear-mesh zip pockets for accessories. On the front of the pack are an adjustable quick release strap and a tripod cup complemented by a tripod strap, for attaching a medium-sized tripod.

Also on the exterior front of the pack are two zippered front pockets. The upper one has an organizer panel for smaller items such as pens, batteries, memory cards, and a cell phone. Dual zippered pockets on either side of the pack have matching stretch pockets for storing a water bottle, gloves, or other gear. On top of the pack is an ID card holder and a padded grip handle. For added security, the YKK zipper pulls can accept a user-supplied, optional padlock.

The StreetWalker Pro V1 Backpack is comfortably worn with the padded shoulder straps, chest connector, and removable waist belt. Stretch pockets on the shoulder straps are useful for storing sunglasses or other small items. Above each pocket is a D-ring for attaching a front-mounted camera or other gear. Photographers will greatly appreciate the breathable air-mesh back panel, lumbar support, and cooling air channels. For strength and durability, the pack is constructed from 1680D ballistic nylon, closed-cell PU foam, water-repellent coatings, and antique nickel-plated metal hardware.

Bottom front pocket can be used to carry a tripod or monopod (tripod strap included). A pop-out tripod cup is built-in for carrying a larger tripod.
Think Tank's Thin Skin Belt, Pro Speed Belt, or Steroid Speed Belt (sold separately) can be attached for carrying Modular, Skin, or Multimedia components. The belts allow you to keep gear around your waist, where it's most accessible.

Think Tank Photo StreetWalker Pro reviews

StreetWalker Pro V1 Backpack (Black) is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 64.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent amount of space Recently I attended a wedding and brought my cameras to catch the private moments I was privy to. I brought my 5D and 6D both of which fit nicely in the Streetwalker Pro with a 70-200mm and 24-70mm attached respectively. There was enough space for all of my gear and the profile of the bag was slimmer than I expected. As you can imagine the more gear you carry the heavier it gets but the point being you pack this thing full and it will haul everything you need. The pack sit comfortably on my back keeping the weight off my shoulders and on to the hips. Highly recommend this bag for anyone looking for a quality product with a lot of thought in the design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product This is my 3rd Think Tank product and as expected, the StreetWalker Pro serves its purpose as expected. it is well designed, extremely versatile and of the high quality I have come to expect from Think Tank. This model will hold two pro camera bodies, four zoom lenses, a flash with external power supply and all the small items one normally needs to carry. Despite its weight when loaded, the StreetWalker is extremely comfortable with none of the pressure points common with some back packs I have used. I highly recommend this product for anyone who needs to carry a large amount of equipment into the field.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product!!! I bought this product with the intention of using it primarily for an all around pack. The main use was to put all of my equipment in one place for our upcoming vacation out of the country. It has fit all my needs and equipment great. It packs my Sigma 150-600, Sigma 18-300, Sigma 10-22, canon d70 and all other accessories nice and neat. The pack is very organized and provides enough organizers to keep stuff safe. I would recommend this pack to anyone. With all of my equipment (excluding tripod) it weights 22 pounds loaded. It can he carried for hiking as well but, you would have to get used to it. Upcoming trips are to test for waterfall and train shots this fall. Again very satisfied with this pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pack This pack comes close to my ideal pack for walking around. No pack is perfect, but this pack is within striking distance. I wander around with a Nikon body, a 70-200, a 16-35, a speed light and a hand held meter plus a few bounce cards, extra camera batteries and so forth. Sometimes I also put in a 24, 28, 50mm or an extender. It will carry an 80-400, 200 f:2 or 400mm. The zippers and fittings are as good as any I have seen on a back pack. It comes with a rain coverhandy. This pack is narrower than most others and it is made to sit ergonomically on your back. It is easy to carry around despite the fact that with all that gear the weight gets up there. Excellent materials used. Great customer service as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I need Think Tank really thought out the details of this bag and I can't really find a fault. 7D with a battery grip, 24-70, 70-200, 30mm, 2x580exII and a assortment of odds and ends fit comfortably in the bag. For a daily shoot or travel it's more than I need and I feel my gear is well protected. I ride with it on my motorcycle around the city and it is comfortable and understated. Will definitely buy another ThinkTank Product when needed. Now if only B&H would let me win that $1000 for reviewing every product I buy so I can buy more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bag! I would not normally buy a backpack, but I wanted a good bag that would protect my expensive gear and would fit the camera and more than one lens. This bag fits several lenses, a flash or two, and a longer lens with hood attached. I originally thought I would just carry the bag from house to car and back, taking what I need, but last weekend I couldn't park anywhere near the shoot and put the bag on my back, carried my tripod, and walked. I was happy to find I had no,problem carrying everything. On the way back, I stopped to talk for a while with other photographers, bag on my back, and I was fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Backpack This backpack is the perfect size for a traveler wight heavy wieght equipment. I carry a D-4 with a 14-24, a 24-70 and a 70-200. This back pack distributes such weight in a verry comfortable manner between your shoulder and waist. Of course it is pricey but worth every penny. Im 59 a travel a lot including climbing. This back pack is the best I ever had.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Streetwalker pro or streetwalker? To me, Think Tank = quality. These bags are nearly perfect. I have a hard time deciding between the streetwalker and streetwalker PRO. I really needed something in between these two bags. I did a lot of walking this summer and found that I wanted the most compact bag for mobility that still fit everything that I wanted to bring. In the end, after reading tons of reviews, using the internal bags size specs compared to my equipment (7D w/ battery grip, several canon L lenses, etc.) I went with the PRO because I thought the streetwalker would be a tiny bit small with the height at only 5.5. If it had been 6 to 6.5, I would have purchased it over the PRO. The problem with the streetwalker is it that it's only 5.5 internal height, which eliminates pro bodies or a 7D with grip. In the pro, they give you an extra 1.5 in height when you only need 1/2. If you measure your lenses you just don't need 7.5 of space. They also give you 1 on the width that you don't need. This doesn't seem like much, but it makes a larger difference in the way the pack feels on your back as you move through busy locations or the forest. On the flip side, I could have gotten rid of my battery grip and the streetwalker would have worked perfect for a 7D w/ 70-200 f2.8LII + 2 other lenses and 1 external flash. Decisions... I chose to go with extra space and keep the grip on the camera.
