    FEISOL CT-3441T Reviews

CT-3441T Traveler Rapid Carbon Fiber Tripod is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Packable ! I needed another tri pod (2 cameras) and I needed one I could hike with too - this guy fit the bill! a bit pricey but well worth it now that I have it - I also own a CT-3372 (Feisol elite ) it's the bomb but hard to take on long hikes - the CT- 3441T is small / lite and yet works really well for most shots , but you have to be careful - especially with longer lenses zoomed in - I opted for the T model because it had the one piece center column which actually makes it a tad lighter than the S if you need a Tri pod under 20 long (Folded up) this is a great choice - other wise I would recommend a Feisol mid size for a bit more stability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the tall I'm 6'4and love my Really Right Stuff TVC-34L, but searched far and wide for a hiking tripod that weighs a lot less, fits in overhead storage with your camera bag, and delivers steady, reliable support. This is it, and the only it. Even topped with my RRS BH-30 Ball Head, it still fits in airplane cabin overheads because of its bend over backward design, and it's plenty steady with the RRS PG-01 Gimbal. The price isn't cheap, but way less than credible competition. If you seek the best and are over 6 feet, look no further.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best travel tripod I've had this tripod for four years now, and have taken it with me all over the world, in heat, rain, sand, dust. The only maintenance it's required are to take apart the leg connections for cleaning, and to add some blue Loktite to the bolts of the leg-spider connections. It will hold a pro DSLR and a 100-400 Canon L lens if there's not a lot of wind, and with a hook and bungie cord, even there for tack sharp photos. Very light weight. Have reviewed it here:@, with maintenance information as well. This is the best lightweight set of sticks of the money, and maybe even money aside. The 3441Standard is fine if you're less than 6 tall. A Markins travel ballhead will allow you to invert and completely close the legs snug up the ballhead base for all three.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lightweight sturdy tall tripod I was looking for a lightweight hiking tripod that was also sturdy, folded up compact, and extended tall enough without having to use a fully extended center column. This is not my first tripod and with each previous one I ended up looking for more height and stability in a lightweight compact folded size for hiking and travel. I am 6'-1" tall and this Feisol fits the bill perfectly. For its height and weight, I am extremely pleased with how stable it is. I use this tripod without issue for landscape work with my heaviest setup being the D610 and Nikon 70-200 f4. The construction is first rate and the twist locks on the legs operate smoothly and lock securely with little effort. The legs also reverse for compact travel. I would highly recommend this set of legs for their great combination of height, weight, folded size, and stability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lite & Sturdy When I 1st received the tripod. There was a piece missing from the center column. B&H was closed, so I email Feisol. They got right back to me and were very helpful. At this point I was very happy with there customer service. So I sent it back to B&H and received the replacement. I have been impressed with it since. Unit is very light and easy to setup. I have used it in a number of locations. beach, water & hiking ect. In the wind or water I would just hung my bag from the hook for extra stability. The twist locks ave very easy to use. After reading some reviews I did remove all the screws and put blue locktite on them. Just for my own peace of mind. At this point I believe that this is my last tripod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent, lightweight tripod! After a LOT of study on lightweight traveler tripods (and a hands-on review of a similar Gitzo), I paid heed to some advice and tried this Feisol because of its construction, light weight, and height. It appears to be very well-made and the legs retract, advance, and lock smoothly and easily. I also followed others' advice and obtained the Feisol CC-2807 Short Center Column to allow very low-level shots. Even with the short center column (which cannot be raised), I am still at ease using my Canon 5D Mk III at near eye-level when legs are fully extended; and I'm 6'0 tall; yet I can plop it to the ground with legs splayed wide for ground-level shots. The tripod is beautifully light; I've equipped it with a Really Right Stuff BH-30LR head (and L bracket for my 5D Mk III) and I couldn't be happier!! The only caveat: with the BH-30LR and the short center column, I cannot fold the legs 180 degrees into the shortest possible traveler configuration (which I can do with this tripod & head when using the included regular-length column) but the small penalty is that its folded length is 2-3 more; no big deal for me, and it allows quicker deployment anyway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely sturdy and lightweight support for my gear I've been using this tripod for several months now and find it to be just about perfect for my lightweight support needs. The tripod folds to a very compact size and is quick to set up in the field. I'm using it primarily with my mirrorless 4/3 system but it also handles my Nikon D800 and lenses quite nicely. I don't extend the tripod to it's full height when using the DSLR unless it's absolutely necessary but even then it works well if I exercise proper shot discipline. My only small complaint is that I would have liked the bag to be a touch longer to accommodate the tripod when it's unfolded from it's travel configuration.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nearly perfect, but needs better feet This is a fine tripod: beautifully lightweight, compact when folded, nicely engineered and very stable. It's also well finished and low key in appearance. The only major disappointment was the lack of retractable spiked feet, which are essential for me as I shoot mostly in the field. I purchased the optional Feisol short stainless spikes, thinking I would switch them back and forth with the supplied rubber leg tips; unfortunately, the rubber tips are extremely difficult to remove--despite having very strong hands, my fingers were rubbed nearly raw from removing just one. I contacted Feisol; they responded that as the rubber leg tips on older Feisol tripods had a tendency to fall off, they've been redesigned to stay on. Be forewarned: do they ever! Unless I received a dud batch of rubber leg tips, you'll have to manhandle these little gems off with brute force. Feisol also suggested stretching the rubber tips once they have been removed; should this really be necessary for a tripod retailing at $414.00? Considering that Feisol offers retractable leg tips as an option on some of their more expensive tripods (Feisol Elite, for example) it's a mystery as to why they're not available on the entire line. As the feet didn't work for me I exchanged this tripod for an Oben model with retractable spiked feet.

    is the center column removable?

    is the center column removable?
    Asked by: Maria
Hi Maria, yes you can remove the column but you do need a column to use the tripod. If you prefer to not use the Long Column, you can use an optional Short Column, instead. This way, the CT-3441T is functionally much like a tripod with a flat mounting plate, rather than a column.

Is the Feisol CT-3441T stable with a heavy load, such as a Nikon D850 and 800 f5.6? I have an aluminum Gitzo that I want to replace for weight reasons and don't want to pay $1k for a Gitzo or RRS.
    Asked by: Mark B.
I agree with the others. I am very happy with this tripod for my 5D and a 70-200 f/2.8. But a big lens like an 800 would be pushing it in my opinion

Which spikes would be suitable for Feisol Traveler CT-3441T tripod?
    Asked by: Ivan M.
I bought the Feisol long spike 3-pack when I purchased the tripod. However, I've only used the standard rubber feet so far, without any problems.
