FEISOL CT-3441T Rapid Reviews
Great, lightweight tripod
I use this tripod for video on days that I find that a monopod will not suffice. I have a Libec fluid head attached on top and the Feisol's extra height makes it a perfect companion for my own 6' stature. The only issue is the carry case that comes with the Feisol will not accommodate the tripod with a head attached, so it is basically useless, but easily remedied with a 3rd party carry case.
Excellent.
Much lighter than I expected. Strong and stable. Even with a 800mm 5.6 and Whimberly head. Very happy with this tripod.
Now I have a request to FEISOL.
I have always loved light shapely legs. This tripod is super light-weight, and very stable under a Red Epic DSMC camera. I am so impressed. Can I request champions in FEISOL if they can make a MOVIE TRIPOD with 100 mm bowl, capacity same like 44 lb, atleast 60 high, and weighs less then 4.5 lb ? I think you guys can do it with ease, or may be something better. Please !!!
Solid Tripod but specs are incorrect
Good tripod and read below for more info, but most importantly the specs of the tripod are incorrect. They are incorrect on Feisol's website. The actual tripod is over an inch shorter than they claim. I contacted Feisol and they acted unaware (how do you not have QC) and responded that they need to update the website. So hopefully they do, but something you should know before purchase. Other than that their customer service has been great. One other important thing that is not made clear is the first leg angle position is actually 21.5 degrees and not the 25 they have on their website. This allows for the added height but compromises some stability. Check out the center column website and you can see the radial stability is much less with a 20 degree (3442) and 21.5 (3441) compared to 25 degrees. I do like the tripod, the height is good for taller people and everything seems quality. Leg locks work well and the leg angle mechanism is easier than most other tripods. I don't understand the hype around Gitzo tripods. They may be slightly stiffer but the g-locks and leg angle mech did not impress me at all and I actually like these better. IMO no need to spend the extra on a Gitzo and if the adjusted specs work for you this is a good tripod.
Tripod
Well built, sturdy, and reasonably priced. Lightweight.
Best Tripod for the Price
Amazing quality tripod. And really nice bag it comes with. I put the Arca Swiss P0 Ballhead. What a perfect combination and still fits barely in the included carrying case. Now I am going from the D4 to Sony A7III. Might be worth looking at the RRS BH 25. I just ordered and later will post review with this combination. Gitzo, Manfrotto. I would pick Feisol over them.
Lightweight and Sturdy
I chose the Feisol CT-2441T for its ability to raise my camera to eye level, and the bonus is that it is incredibly lightweight and rigid.
Lightweight and sturdy
My search for a lightweight tripod capable of supporting a Canon C300 Mk III has come to an end. This tripod meets that test. My only complaint relates to the fact that the legs do not lock into any particular position, but its weight and maximum height make up for this minor issue.
