CT-3342 Tournament Rapid Carbon Fiber Tripod is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Tripod After reading many reviews and photography forums about this tripod, I bought one. I should have done this a long time ago as I've been lugging around a heavy tripod (7lbs) for years up & down hills, mountains, and coastal cliffs. The Feisol weighs 2.5lbs!! Easy to setup and teardown, extremely sturdy/stable, and extends to a comfortable height of 56 -I'm 5'10; I also use it for macro as it has a minimum height of around 8. I primarily shoot with a Canon 5d mkII with a 24-70 lens but can also safely mount my 70-200mm lens on it. Only con I have is you can buy spiked feet that screw into the legs but I would have liked retractable spiked feet. I also paid about half of what I thought I had to pay to get a professional tripod. Yes, I would strongly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Light Weight Tripod The CT-3342 is a very light tripod with a big weight limit. I like the 3 section legs and the flat top plate without center column. It's made of machined aluminum vs cast. And the finish and detail work is excellent. It stands pretty tall without the need for a center column. And the upright angle makes for easy leveling on unstable ground. With the legs folded under the plate it's very compact and much smaller in diameter than with the legs folded over the ball head and plate. Thus, easy to strap to a back pack. This is great for the outdoors and landscape work. I used it for panoramas at night. The only caution is, because it's so light, it's optimal to use the bag hook to add some weight while shooting under windy conditions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy & light!! Bought this tripod to take while backpacking because it is so light. I mostly take long exposures and timelapses and this tripod keeps still. Legs extend very easily and smooth. Im 6'1 and the viewfinder on my 6D comes up to my mouth. Definitely worth the upgrade vs my old aluminum tripod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice Tripod This tripod is a real jewel. Extrmely light with an adequate load capacity and beautiful finish. I installed a Sunwayfoto FB-44 ball head and the whole rig weighs only 3.6 lbs. and is rock steady. The legs deploy very smoothly and lock very quickly. I've had Gitzo, Manfrotto, Velbon, Slik, Hakuba, and Mamiya carbon fiber tripods, and this one is going to be my favorite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Is the One to Get This is my go to tripod for indoor and outdoor work. It is easy to set up and use, and for its size and heft it is lightweight.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No thanks... I'm a landscape photographer and use a tripod all the time. I have an induro CT313 I was looking to downsize slightly. Induro's 213 has the same leg diameters as this feisol but is a much more stable tripod. Why? Because feisol cheats with the steepness of the angle of the legs to make it taller than the legs are long. That's why their specs look so nice on paper (shorter folded, longer extended). Also, the leg locks aren't as nice, and they also seemed to stick a bit with a brand new tripod. I used this tripod ONCE and returned it. Yes it's lighter than my induro, and folds up much shorter, but the locks were terrible and it seemed very unstable. I'd go with the induro 213 if I wanted to go smaller/lighter as I have friends with them and they beat this setup soundly. I'm still looking for the ideal travel tripod, but for now I'd rather use my beloved rock solid ct313.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from getting a leg up on the competition iuse this tripod for landscape photography, architecture photography and long exsposure photography. lightweight; simple to use; economically priced; well built; i bought this tripod because i heard so much about carbon fiber tripods it was a time to make achange. i currently own a giottos aluminum tripod which is 4&1/2 lbs heavier than the ct-3342 by feisol. ialso didn't want to spend over $500 on a carbonfiber tipod. the feisol ct-3342 fit the bill just under $400. a majority of the competition is very expensive over $600 for the same type or compeditively priced tripod . thats because they build it here in the use where labor is not cheap or europe where labor is not cheap either..they use the same material as there compeditors they just use cheaper labor..well i phones are all made in china. just because they use cheap labor isn't necessarily a bad thing.. ct- 3342 ues the current technology such as anti-twist legs. its agreat tripod .it can hold up to 23lb. i use canon pro cameras and lenses.my biggest lens is a 120-400mm sigma lens that and my camera weight 7lbs the feisol ct-3342 is more than adequate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great legs Great balance of weight and strength. I like tripods without columns. You can add one to the tripod. I use if for shooting landscapes and wildlife.
