This steel blue Quartet Classic Comfort Red Laser Pointer is a pen-style laser pointer with a rubberized cushion grip for comfort. Its bright red laser dot can be projected onto any surface up to 1500' away as needed. This is a class 3a laser and the two AAA batteries required to power it are included with the device.

Not a steady beam of light. Wavers from full beam to almost nothing when holding the button down.

Great performance
This laser pointer works well, and feels comfortable. The first patron to check it out from our library sheered off the rubber power button, by removing the surrounding black cap that either wasn't glued down securely, or was twisted off. I thought it was rather intuitive to use, but apparently at least one user disagrees.
Pretty nice pointer. Better made than ones I've had in the past.
I haven't used enough to rate it in full. That is reason why I gave four stars. I have used other maker's which purchased online for few dollars less and unhappy about their product. This seems to be different
I bought 4 of them and 3 do not work. I changed batteries and it did not help. The main problem is that you have to loose the bottom screw to make the batterie work, which makes it unstable useless.
