Axis Communications M7014 overview

  • 1Description

Update your analog camera setup with the M7014 4-Channel Video Encoder from Axis Communications, which takes inputs from up to 4 channels and encodes them into digital video using H.264 or MJPEG compression. The M7014 can also stream simultaneously in both formats and offers both single and quad view options at high resolutions. It supports D1 resolutions at up to 15 fps and has RS-485/422 ports for full control over PTZ cameras.

Adding the M7014 encoder to your setup also benefits through the implementation of numerous intelligent functions, including video motion detection and a tampering alarm. Additionally, it has a microSD card slot supporting up to 64GB for storage, is compatible with 802.3af/at Power over Ethernet, and is ONVIF compliant.

    Axis Communications M7014 reviews

    M7014 4-Channel Video Encoder is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it says it will I had an 8 camera analog system and recently purchased 3 digital Axis Cameras. The analog DVR had its own webpage for monitoring the live view and recordings, and the new Axis digital cameras have a free app called Axis Camera Companion. I obviously couldn't get the 3 digital cameras into the Analog DVR interface, so I decided to buy two M7014's to replace it bringing all 11 of my security cameras into one single, unified interface (Axis Camera Companion)... It took me about 15 mins to set-up and I was up and recording motion to the MicroSD card slot built into the units. That's another thing that's great about the Axis solution, you can record to network share or record local to an SD Card in the unit. For now I'm recording local to the micro SD cards and it works great. The unit accepts up to a 64GB microSD card and Axis recommends a class 10 card otherwise performance can suffer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flawless I bought the M7014 to use my 2 previously installed analog cameras with my Synology DiskStation, and it worked perfectly. Plugged it in, assigned an IP, set a password, updated firmware, and finally added it to Synology SS. High quality video with no lags. Synology had no problems connecting to it and is able to do its own motion detection flawlessly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great H264 encoder for 5 streams Great encoder that is easy to setup. You get 5 streams (4 individual and one quad). Works well with Milestone video systems to record streams for playback and distribution as needed.
