    NN-EC2022-S1 FireWire 400 ExpressCard is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solved my audio interconnect problem Purchased for a MacBook Pro with a FW 800 port used with a Presonus 24.4.2 FW 400 - the two units weren't playing well with each other when stepped down on the built-in port. I have the system rigged now with Presonus on the SIIG and audio HDD on the built-in - everything is smooth as silk. Why 4, not 5 stars? The SIIG bends a little under the weight of the FW cables, and it opens a small seam in the plastic. I'd have a little more peace of mind if the SIIG's casing was a little stronger.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It does the job I got the ExpressCard to transfer video to my laptop because it only has a 4 pin Firewire connector. It took me forever to figure out why I had anomalies when I tried to drop my footage, but now the video transfers perfectly. What a difference! You have to be careful when it is in the computer because will easily disconnect through the fault of the computer design, not the product. I think the quality is fine and decently priced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly surprised I had very low expectations for this unit. When I received it I did not have time to install it. I needed it to connect to a sound console and did not get to install it until about 10 minutes before I needed it. The installation was quick and easy and the device worked flawlessly even under a bit of pressure. I'm very happy with my purchase and will be on the look out for other items by this manufacturer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great card for streaming video I bought this card to stream a candidate forum from two Sony HD cameras online. The laptop I have has no firewire ports. It worked like a charm. I would highly recommend the card.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple to use It gives me 2 extra firewire connections, although, in order to use 2 cameras with it, you need the power supply (sold separately). Take that into consideration.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from works seamlessly I use run several firewire audio interfaces --sometimes daysy chained, sometimes using both available ports. There have been no snags with laptop or software

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Interfaces great.......with the adapter. Driver recognized, MOTU not. Had to shell the extra 20+ to Siig for power. Aftermarket sand in my bathing suit area.
