Looking for zoom shoe adapter hs-1(3/8 )

The Zoom HS-1 features a 1/4 -20 threading. We do carry a similar product that offers a 3/8 screw. The WindTech CM-38.

Are the 2 secure locking wheels made of plastic?

They are plastic surrounding the metal male and female threaded parts. I haven't had any issues with them. I have two of them and I use my LED lights with them.

How long is the 1/4 shaft?

Mounted on Nikon DSLR, the maximum length is 3/16. I use it with Zoom H5. It is working fine.

The item is very light. Probably weigh ounces. I use this hot shoe to connect my H5 Zoom Digital Recorder to my recording rig. It is amazingly strong. Sorry about the slow response.
