The 4-12x40 AO Crossfire II Riflescope (Dead-Hold BDC) from Vortex Optics is a cost-effective yet durable variable power riflescope. The 4-12x magnification is ideal for close to mid-range hunting and target practice. A nitrogen purged and o-ring sealed aluminum housing is built to perform in driving rain and extreme humidity. This model of the Crossfire II is configured with a Dead-Hold BDC reticle and low-profile capped windage/elevation turrets. The wide 40mm objective lens features enhanced light gathering ability that is well-suited for performance in low light conditions. An included sunshade prevents stray light that can degrade image quality from entering the field of view. A fast focus eyepiece, parallax error correction, and generous eye relief make the Crossfire II a full-featured scope for sportsmen.

Dead-Hold BDC Reticle
Customized compensating reticle subtensions minimize guesswork on holdover and wind drift corrections, ideal for shooting at ranges where calculating accurate bullet drop is essential.
Anti-Reflective Lens Coating
Fully multicoated optics and an additional anti-reflective coating on the objective and the ocular lenses ensure transmission of bright detail-rich images throughout the entire magnification range.
Rugged Construction
The one-piece aerospace aluminum housing is anodized for a durable non-reflective finish. Each optical element is held in place by machined locking rings that ensure perfect lens alignment even after intense recoil and rapid fire. Additionally, the interior is nitrogen purged and o-ring sealed, preventing driving rain and extreme humidity from fogging the optics.
Adjustable Objective
The focus ring on the objective bell enables parallax error correction and helps ensure accuracy at the far end of the magnification range.
VIP Unconditional Warranty
This unlimited, unconditional, fully transferable, hassle free warranty is almost unheard of in the optics industry. Whether damaged by the owner or a manufacturing defect, Vortex Optics will repair or replace the scope at no charge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Scope Bought this scope to put on my M1A. Great glass, easy to zero. Mine has the BDC reticle so it is fast and easy to adjust for range. Perfect for long range shots when you need it. Of course the Muley Buck that I shot last year walked out at 80yds. What luck. I plan on putting more Vortex on my rifles.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Vortex 4-12x40 AO I have 3 Nikon Prostaff 4-12x40 for my 30-06, 223 and 243. I tried the Vortex. It has the same optical quality but with cheaper price. Except the reticles on Nikon have more positive clicks than that on the Vortex which makes me over/under turn the turrets for fine tuning. With Nikon you do not have to remove any screw to re-zero the turrets; with Vortex, you have remove the screws that hold the turrets. It is acceptable though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cheap Price/ Lots of Features I was hesitant to jump on the Crossfire 2 series as they are the "cheapest" in the Vortex line up. The reviews were very positive and the price was awesome. I kept my expectations low on glass and simply wanted reliability on the turrets. Both of my Crossfire 2's have met all my expectations and i truly believe I would have had a difficult time finding an optic that would be that level for any where close to the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great scope! This is my first "real" scope, (of this adjust-ability) and, I have to say, it's easy to use. I love the adjustable ZERO setting, so I can go back to my preset favorite setting quickly. After six months of fairly constant use, I've had no problems whatsoever.
