Olympus EP-11 Reviews
should be stock item
Recently got a em5 and the flat eye cup didn't block side light much (at all) this was much better. The only way to improve further would be to have a curved cup like binoculars have.
Not for eye glass wearers.
This eyecup is too deep to allow eyeglass wearers to view the complete viewfinder width. My next try was an EP-10 eyecup which is just right for viewing the screen of an E-M10 mk 1. Since the EP-14 is no longer available for the E-M10 mk 1, the EP-10 is the better choice for me.
very good add on.
this eye cup is ideal to keep light from interfering with the view finder on my Olympus omd-10. it is deep enough to do the job well. unfortunately just like the old days of film. you cannot carry your camera with a strap on your shoulder. with a large eye cup, you WILL accidentally knock it off the camera and loose it. the only answer is to hand carry the camera.
Third(or is it fourth) time around.
First of all,I can't imagine not having one of these oversize eyecups, but I can't seem to hold on to them for long.If you wear glasses,or just want a deeper eyecup, this is the solution. However,if you look down and see it's gone, whoa and woe.It slides down a channel and is held in place by two little points, one on each side.Bump it the wrong way,and one of the points breaks off,it falls off.Even if returned to the channel,it won't stay on.Just a little too delicate.
Big!
I bought a used OMDEM5 and there was no rubber piece on the viewfinder. I ordered this large one after I had read complaints about the regular one that comes with the camera. This thing is big, and does an excellent job of blocking out the light. It makes it a little harder to put your camera in a loose pocket, but it looks great!
Useful for spectacle wearers
An improvement over the standard eyecup provided with the Stylus 1/1s if you wear spectacles. Reduces incursion of light around the eyecup perimeter.
it works
It would be better if they would last longer
3rd or 4th replacement
This overpriced eyecup is better that the stock one, but repeatedly falls off & is lost due to nonsecure method of attachment.
