The Scissor Mount for Drop hangs down approximately 5’’ from the ceiling and the diameter of the stud is 5/8’’.

Will this clamp work with drop ceiling rails that are 1/2" wide (skinnier than the standard 1" wide rails)?
These would need a standard drop ceiling rail to close down on both sides.
