This Heavy-Duty Swivel Pin from Impact adds articulation to your stand or boom. One end slips onto a male 5/8" pin while the other supports a light or accessory with a 5/8" receiver. The ball joint allows 180° swivel of the fixture, while the large, rubber-covered T-handle provides secure locking in your chosen position. The barrel at the receiver end measures 1 1/8". Removing the tightening knob from it allows you to drop it into a 1 1/8" receiver.

Will my elinchrom D-Lite 400W/s RX 4 Flash Head fit on easily? I bought the Impact 6.0 Pin with Collar , but my elinchrom does not fit onto it properly.

The original pin Impact 6.0 Pin with Collar, should of fit fine. You might have needed to make sure the screw on the flash is unscrewed enough.The Swivel pin should work as well. The flash fits on a 5/8 stud and both items are 5/8.

I positioned the baby swivel pin at a 90 degree angle to the vertical and tightened the locking handle as tight as I possibly could by hand. I then hung about 27 pound of sandbags on the baby pin before it started to drift from the set position. The swivel is a ball and socket friction lock and the rigidity is mainly dependent on tightness. The one I used was new out of the box and I expect it to decline with age. Can the male pin be removed and replaced with a baby pin? Strobes with modifiers tend to rotate down when not affixed to a pin with notches for the screw to snug into.
