Feed Through Cord Switch is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Switch for a Great Price It is exactly as pictured and works great. It is a lot stronger than the original lowel switches that used to come with lowel lights and cords. It is built very well and has screws inside to keep the wires in place.A couple of reviewers on here said it was difficult to wire it because there are no directions. It is actually quite easy. Inside the switch there are 3 banks for a nuetral line, hot, and ground. All three work the same no matter which bank you put it in as long as you keep the lines the same in each bank. The best way to do it is to put the nuetral line in Bank 1, the hot line in Bank 2, which are both labeled 1 & 2 respectively. The third bank is for the ground line and is not really labeled.I would suggest using nothing bigger than a 16 guage 300V cable because it is a tight fit. Also, you can use it on any cable, not just for Lowel lights. I use this switch for cables I made for China Ball lights.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Difficult to assemble must be modified Having a decent amount of electrical experience, I purchased this to hopefully save one of my old lowel cords. The first thing is there are no directions. So you have to figure out that both powers must be cut and how to plug them in. You cannot just open up the old switch, disconnect the wires and attach. I did eventually get this to work. You first have to cut all the wires, then using the white and black wires, cut them appropriately and connect them, white to 1 bank and black to bank 2. Then cut the green ground wire appropriately so that it feed through the center of the switch into the silver bank. You must then take a round file to the plastic case to allow for the diameter of the cord. If you do all that right you should have a switch that works but since I had to figure this out and it was such a nightmare I give it one star. This should have taken me 10 minutes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little switch One of the few things I like that Lowell makes (their kit stands are great too), this switch is perfect for adding to Leko/Ellipsoidal lights (along with TVMP adapters) for use on location. Nowhere near as robust as Arri or Mole switches but way cheaper and they still handle up to 1k of juice. Installation must be precise to be successful, and the ground terminal is offset from the other two, so cut and strip wires carefully. There's no room inside for extra loops or even much slack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DIY Light Fix Looked all over town and the internet for something like these. Heavy duty, easy to attach, and a small footprint for my older tungsten fixtures that need a little tune-up. One caveat: these are not the double-bank switches as pictured in the drawing. This part number has only one rocker and was actually what I was looking for - a pleasant surprise when they arrived that I didn't have to settle for the larger unit, which I didn't need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lowel Switch Saved My DP Hot Lights I had two Lowel DP lights collecting dust due to bad cord switches. These new model switches I reseached at the Lowel website and bought from B&H Photo salvaged my inoperative DP lights. Total breeze to install, even without instructions. Only time will tell me how durable these switches will be.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best switch for the money Perfect for adding to Lekos, and way less expensive than any other switch that can handle the wattage. They are not water proof however, and there is no extra space inside for extra wire slack, so your snipping and stripping must be exact.
