Although Cat5e cables can still handily transmit data across Gigabit networks, you should consider Pearstone Cat6a Snagless Patch Cables to help future proof your network. With a sturdy and quick 500MHz transmission speed, Cat6a cables can handle more data quicker. The cables feature compliance with Category 6 568B 2.1 Draft 9 TIA/EIA standards, gold-plated RJ-45 cables and a snagless boot design to help prevent the cables from catching on carpeting, woodwork or in-wall obstacles.

Cat6a cabling's 500Mhz transmission speed makes it more than suitable for Gigabit Ethernet networks, but it can also be used in upgraded 10gbE networks for even faster data transfer. The longitudinal separator in Cat6a cables isolates each of the four pairs of twisted wire construction and allows for greatly reduced near-end crosstalk (NEXT) and higher transmission speeds for resource-hungry applications like streaming video. The UTP (unshielded twisted pair) cables also feature greater flexibility.

Whether moving a server or just rearranging your home office, consider upgrading your cables to the Cat6a standard with Pearstone's Cat6a Snagless Patch Cables.

10' Cat6a Snagless Patch Cable (White) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 38.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from These seem to meet the spec; carry traffic; inexpensive I have ultra short patch cables in my LAN closet for patching panel to switch -- 3' max. For systems in the house, I needed a bit more length so I settled on these. Every single one has performed so far without any surprises. NOTE: the hood that protects the RJ45 hard plastic head, must be pulled away or it is too difficult to push the the plug into jacks and get it to lock in firmly. Once in place, you can slide the hood back into place. Bit of a nuisance. I don't plan on plugging and unplugging these much, so that's reasonable at this price. Recommended certainly for home use. I have benched these against other wires I have lying around and these would seem 10-20% faster.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from These are not 6A cables They advertise these as cat6a. The package actually just says cat6 on it. The cables themselves only say cat6 on them. If you are wanting CAT6A cables for a 10gig network, these are not them. I'm a professional network install tech and systems administrator.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I would not buy again, This is the second pearstone cable I purchased. The first one I had to cut off the ends and redo the connector just the same as I did with this one. See attached photos of the cable from factory and take note that the sheathing crimp is not holding and how far back the sheathing is away from the termination. The photo with the clear strain relief is after I replaced the factory end. I used the Platinum EZ-RJ45 strain reliefs and connectors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly as described The patch cables are of great quality. The thickness of the cable along with the security once having the ends plugged into a switch and patch panel are excellent. I feel confident that these cables will not unfasten and give me great connectivity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One better than cat5 Yes I know so what? I rearranged my studio and get things to reach became a problem. So I bought some longer cables to help. I just hope I'm around for the time that these will become not enough for my usage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid cable I bought a few pearstone cables and they are very well built. I use it between my cable modem and my extreme airport router because I have a fast internet speed and CAT 6 handles fast speed better. Great buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Serve the purpose well Good quality. Using it for wifi extender to wire to devices that doesn't have 5G connection, and this method did make those 2.4G only wifi device got higher speed through ethernet cable to the 5G extender.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Work Great Used in my Ethernet network. No issues; they work as advertised. Takes a while to get them to straighten out, but I have experienced that with any rolled up Ethernet cable, no matter the length.
