Taking design inspiration from the venerable Ethos line but with a narrower field of view to provide users with a long more comfortable eye relief, the Tele Vue Delos 14mm Eyepiece was designed for easy long-duration lunar and planetary observation. Index-matched anti-reflective multi-coatings applied to the glass lenses were engineered specifically to maximize light transmission, which produces sharp, bright, high-contrast, and color-faithful images across the entire spacious 72° apparent field of view. Its adjustable-height rubber eyecup helps to further enhance contrast by preventing stray light from entering the user's peripheral vision, which can interfere with the image seen through the ocular. The eyepiece is offered with a 1.25" diameter barrel for compatibility with a wide variety of filters and accessories.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Other Worlds, could only build better The first moment I looked through this lens, I was total blown away. The 72 degree APOV, is very pleasing, compared to the 60 degree APOV, with my current lenses. Also the clarity of vision, is the best I have ever seen. In my opinion, you could not buy a better lens, than a Tele Vue, and when my finances permit, I am going to by more of them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delos is a Delicious Delight I was on vacation in NY and B&H was high on my list to visit among the many attractions in the city. Well you can't go wrong buying Tele Vue products and now I have had chance to use this eyepice and the 4.5mm I bought at the same time, I can make a few coments. I just love the comfort the 20mm eye relief in the Delos range and I can spend as much time at the scope using Delos without getting eye strain that I usually get with eyepieces with shorter eye reliefs. It's easy to adjust the eye cup and I've found that eye placement is not that critical which is nice. All the chat you hear on the net about the amazing pin point stars across the full field, right up the the field stop is correct. I will add to my eyepiece collection with a few more Delos probably ending up with 4.5mm 6mm 10mm 14mm and the 17.3mm and lastly filling the gap between the 6 and 10 with the 8mm if I feel that's required. I look forward to using any Delos as the views at high medium and low power are a delight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An amazing eyepiece I have been using Tele Vue eyepieces for what seems like forever. My first Nagler was the original 11mm which I bought when it first came out in 1982. I wanted an eyepiece with just a little less magnification than my 11mm focal length and that is why I purchased the 14mm Delos. I wear eyeglasses, so its 20mm of eye relief, compared to the 12mm in the 11mm Nagler, means that while wearing my glasses I can more easily see all of the field of view. The one and only distraction I ever noticed when using Nagler eyepieces is the slight yellow color imparted by the eyepieces. Once I received my 14mm Delos and could compare it with my 11mm Nagler, well, I have a new favorite eyepiece. The Delos imparts absolutely no color to objects, none. Stars are pinpoint all across the .62 degree true field of view in my 12.5 f/5 reflector. But what impressed me the most is the stunning increase in contrast when compared to my old Nagler. Maybe the newer Naglers have better glass and improved lens coatings than the originals, but the difference between these two eyepieces is clearly visible. While viewing the gibbous Moon, the ejecta rays from Copernicus, their lightness when compared to the surrounding maria, was eye catchingly better. I went back and forth between the 11mm Nagler and the 14mm Delos, and the contrast was an order of magnitude better in the Delos. This eyepiece is a keeper, but then I've had my 11mmm Nagler for 32 years. Tele Vue eyepieces were always great, but the improvements made by Tele Vue over the years is amazing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TeleVue does it again Owned about every eyepiece TeleVue made until the Delos. Always something different and the Delos model is no exception. I like the way the eyepiece adjusts over the objective. The twisting of the barrel and the way it tightens up gives a feeling of ownership. It is heftier than the Radian line and a bigger field. It is priced right but the view is soft like an Ethos and the field is big enough. Even the box is up to date with plenty of foam.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous views I use this on a Tele Vue 102, fantastic views at roughly 1 degree field of view. Sharp to the edge, very comfortable viewing experience.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Kidney bean frustration I used this eyepiece on a Tak 120mm The light gathering power of the lens is geart But what made me sell it was the kidney bean frustration of trying to get my eye in the right place that took too long to enjoy the eyepiece I now judge a good eyepiece by how little kidney bean frustration exist
