Manfrotto's Q2 L Bracket provides a quick, easy, and precise way to change your camera position from a horizontal to a vertical orientation. The lightweight magnesium alloy bracket features anti-rotational systems that provide a snug fit on the camera body, guaranteeing stability even with heavy-duty professional equipment. The bracket keeps the weight centered over the tripod, avoiding lens movement when changing position. While the bracket can be used with cameras without a battery grip, use with a grip is preferable to keep the lens centered. Two 200PL-14 type quick release plates are built into the bracket for Q2 quick releases.
- Horizontal/Vertical Position Change
- Lightweight Magnesium Alloy Construction
- Built-In 200PL-14 Type QR Plates
- Includes Allen Key

Manfrotto Q2 Reviews
described for small cameras but this is for big cameras
this is a very heavy bracket, best used with bigger cameras and video equip. Way too much, unwieldy for smaller cameras.
High quality product.
As many other of Manfrotto products that I'm using, this bracket reveal well thought design and quality. Easy to set up and has some helpful features. In addition, on my film camera (Contax 645) it doesn't block removal or insertion of the dark shade when you want to swap a back.
Doesn't fit my 2 Nikon DSLRs
I own 2 Nikon DSLRs, a D4s and a D850. This L bracket doesn't fit either camera properly, following the directions from Manfrotto. There is no way to center a lens on either camera body. I guess this is why all other major brands, like Really Right Stuff, Kirk, ProMediaGear, and others make different L brackets specifically for individual DSLRs. Since Manfrotto's L Bracket is universal, it doesn't fit properly on either of my Nikon bodies. Actually I learned a lot from this. Now I will be getting rid of all my Manfrotto tripod heads and get a more universal clamp system, like arca swiss.
don't know why I waited so long
This was a great purchase, I wondered at first but not anymore. It gives me two mounting points for landscape and portrait and it is so easy to switch. I don't have to adjust my tripod or there is very little adjustment. I love it
Good for Quick Portrait/Landscape Transition
My camera is a Canon 5DII paired with a Manfrotto 496 Compact ball head, the L bracket serves its purpose for easy change from landscape to portrait. There are 2 areas that would make it better 1) the screw used to attach the bracket to the camera is difficult to tighten and more difficult to remove as it is awkward to grip – it would be helpful if it had a “D” loop like the Manfrotto quick release plates. 2) There is insufficient room for tethered capture cords. Other than those two issues it is durable and should serve for many years.
Great product; complicated instructions
I received the Manfrotto Q2L Bracket for Christmas and have now just played with it. This product is GREAT. The design, materials, and construction are outstanding. I'm sure I will get many years' use of this item. However, the instructions are over complicated. I'm not a technical writer but I could write clearer instructions. I was able to align everything so all my lenses will be seated properly. Overall, I gave it 5 stars because it's a great product, as are all the Manfrotto products I own.
L bracket
Works great, setup could be quicker but holds camera well.
Just perfect
I needed a quick way of changing my camera from horizontal to vertical while on my tripod and this was the answer. It works great. the Salesperson at the B&H store walked me thru alternatives and helped me choose what I needed. B&H is the BEST!! thanks
