SureFire HL1-B-TN KIT01 overview

  • 1Description

The HL1-B Dual Spectrum White and IR LED Helmet Light with Clip from Surefire is a versatile hands-free light that provides visible white light or IR illumination with an IR Identify Friend or Foe (IFF) beacon for identification to friendly forces using NVDs. The light features three white LEDs offering up to 19.2 lumens for tasks, or two IR LEDs with a maximum output of 2.5 lumens that act as an IR illuminator for use with NVDs. The light output is controlled using two toggle switches. The first switch turns the IR IFF beacon on and off. A second switch controls the light or IR emitters and turns them off. A pressure switch on the face of the light controls the intensity of the light chosen. Pressing the button cycles through the low, medium and high levels.

The HL1-B features a desert tan watertight polymer body that attaches to a helmet with an included Z71 MOLLE clip. This clip utilizes two columns of PALS webbing to securely mount it to most modern battlefield gear. The construction of the Z71 nearly eliminates sag, and ensures that the light points where it is needed. The mounting plate of the Z71 offers five click-stop positions to keep the light in place. The Z71 slips onto PALS webbing, and its feet are designed keep it securely in place. An integrated quick-release tab makes attachment or removal of the HL1-B easy. The Z71 will attach to any MOLLE or ALICE vest.
