The Super-Multi 6x Blu-Ray Disc Rewriter for Notebooks from LG Electronics is a multi-type internal SATA drive that can read and write a total of 13 specific types of Blu-Ray discs, DVDs and CDs. Backup your data safely, with M-DISC technology, onto high-capacity BDs at a max speed of 6x--or write and rewrite CDs at a maximum speed of 24x. Designed specifically for Notebook computers, the slim 0.5" height can easily fit into some of the slimmest computers, while the black tray will not interfere with the color scheme of similarly dark colored computers.

Multi-Disc Compatibility
The Super-Multi Blue-Ray optical drive can read and write four types of disc formats in one convenient package, including DVD+R, RW DVD-R, RW DVD-RAM, and Blu-Ray disc--giving you the option to choose the media best suited for each task
BDXL Technology
This format supports high-capacity Blu-Ray discs, up to an enormous 128 GB of storage capacity, allowing you to store and backup a large amount of data to discs
Serial ATA (SATA)
Serial ATA is a 1.5 Gbps replacement for the Parallel ATA physical storage interface traditionally used to connect hard disks, DVD and CD rewriters to PC motherboards. However, Serial ATA is scalable, enables smaller-sized PC design, and allows future enhancements to the computing platform
Offering superior reliability in data storage, M-DISC provides a permanent optical data storage solution when compared to other recordable DVDs on the market today
