Can this tripod be used in water?
Asked by: John
Definitely! It has rubberized feet that can be screwed in and out to expose or hide the little metal pointy tips. The entire body is carbon fiber along with rubber accents and what appears to be aluminum points on the base of the three feet. So all those components are all waterproof. I have used it many times in a foot of water with no issues at all. It's a beautifully built and sturdy tripod. Just a light rinse to remove debris and any water will drain out onto the ground.

Is the maximum working height of 72.5" only ...

Is the maximum working height of 72.5" only achieved with the center column extended all the way up?
Asked by: Sean
Yes - the maximum height of 72.5 inches is with the center column extended all the way up. The maximum height of the tripod by itself, not counting the center column, is 60 inches. Also, you might put a head on the center column. My ball head adds another 4.5 inches, my gimbal head adds at least 6 inches. Then you have the height of your camera plus a release plate.

Yes. But for maintenance purposes, please clean and dry each leg section (before collapsing the tripod) that's been submerged to avoid salt and sediments from gumming up your twist locks.
