Thanks to its smooth, de-clicked aperture and ideal focal length, the 8mm T/3.8 Fisheye Cine Lens for Canon from Rokinon is a great lens for shooting video with your DSLR camera. It is designed to shoot with APS-C image sensors, for which it provides full frame coverage, creating an expanded perspective that covers the entire frame. For DSLR's with a full frame sensor, this lens will produce pictures with a semi-circular image and close-ups will appear proportionately large for a dramatic effect. Its de-clicked aperture range runs from T/3.8 to T/22, providing a smooth, silent, jump-free transition when shooting video and its multi-layered, anti-reflective UMC coated lenses allow for clean light transmission and razor sharp images. Toothed focusing and aperture rings and bright, white numbering make controlling your image all the easier.

Versions of this lens are available for all DSLR's from Canon, Nikon, Pentax and Sony as well as compact mirrorless cameras from Sony, Pentax, Olympus and Samsung.

Optically designed to work best with APS-C sensors, providing full frame coverage and 180º angle of view.
De-clicked aperture movement and toothed focus and aperture rings for smooth operation while shooting video.
Multi-layered and anti-reflective UMC coated glass

8mm T/3.8 Fisheye Cine Lens for Canon is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for... everything. As I accidentally dropped my Opteka 6.5mm lens I had to buy a new one, and I went for this one. Couldn't be more satisfied! It's pretty much like the Opteka, but for some reason it feels a lot more solid. The follow-focus-tags-things make it look more beast, and focusing and adjusting aperture is a lot better. Definitely a great purchase. I'm mostly filming skateboarding and snowboarding, and this lens is perfect for both. I also use it to random stuff, and it works just as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best fisheye lens This lens fully manual. There are no clicks when you switch fstops. Real smooth transition aperture when switching from dark to bright. Great built. Well constructed. I use it with Canon 60D. This is a must have lens.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Creative lens for the price I use this lens as a videographer for creative, extreme wide shots during weddings. I love the fact that it distorts the image to make it more interesting to watch. It is a solid plastic frame, smooth exposure, and a crisp image. It doesn't have auto focus if I want to take pics; also its not the best in low light

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A good lens in its price range This lens is very useful. The cost benefit is great. Maybe is the best choice in this price range Cons: Too soft in the full aperture, about 4.2 f/stop starts to be sharper.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Can't beat the price I'm very happy to finally have a fisheye prime. For the price, you cannot beat the Rokinon. I opted for the declicked version and have been very impressed with the smooth yet firm focusing and aperture rings. I'm still trying to find the sweet spot for image quality because it's not the greatest wide open at f3.5 or cranked down at f22. The lens is fully manual, which is no problem at all. I've already started saving my pennies for the other Rokinon primes at 85mm and 35mm.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from nice but not great. As far as the price goes, it's great. Not the sharpest but fine for video. Softish for photos but still pretty good edge to edge considering the price. No focus confirmation and the f stop is manual and darkens the viewfinder at anything other then wide open. You get used to the quicks I guess but if you want more refined technology you might look elsewhere... I'd recommend it as a low priced lens but don't expect too much.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the price No complaints yet. I've been using the lens for a couple weeks. Perfect for video, a bit tougher for pics due to it not having a motor. No clicking rings and I dig the hard stops. I'm using it with a canon 7d and a T2i. Image is pretty sharp. Real solid build too. Great if you've got a follow focus. Haven't tested it in low light yet. I definitely recommend it if you're on a budget.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use and great performance from a value lens This lens was ordered through the department I work for at a university. It is being used to capture the images needed to stitch together in panoramas to upload into our new VR campus map for the 360s. The glass is crisp, and the lens is very easy to focus and work with the t-stops. Fits and works perfectly with the crop-sensored Canon 60D I am using to capture the images.
