Golden Age Project FC 1 MK2 overview

  • 1Description

The FC 1 MK II F.E.T. Condenser Microphone from Golden Age Project features a large-diaphragm condenser design housed in a durable brass body. It offers a fixed cardioid pattern and an internally switched 100 Hz high-pass filter. There is a wide frequency response and a large dynamic range for versatility, enabling use of the microphone in studio, stage, and broadcast recording applications. The mic has a sweet-sounding top end, and its high SPL capabilities allow it to cleanly capture loud sources. Its output transformer is adept at handling bass and provides the mic with a fat-sounding bottom end. The FC 1 MK II can be used with vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, other fretted instruments, and as a drum overhead or room mic. The package includes a spider-style shock mount.

Golden Age Project FC 1 MK2 reviews

FC 1 MK II F.E.T. Condenser Microphone is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bang for the buck This is probably the least expensive voice over mic you can get that is also a decent vocal mic. I tried to mic a guitar amp with this and it did okay but the mount is restrictive on how close you can get to the speaker. inches matter on this mic and I recommend a higher gain preamp for this. I have the Focusrite Scarlet 2 and it is okay with this mic. This mic also works well with the Tascam iXZ iPad interface for Garage band. It is a very cool combo, powers the mic easily.
