Digital Juice RIG1 Reviews

Cheap Junk

Digital Juice's gear always looks appealing, and it always has a great price, but it's always knock-off junk. If this rig were made of metal or carbon fiber, it might be worth buying, but it's made of cheap plastic. For starters, everything about this rig is cheap, right down to the hardware. The only application for this thing is a tiny girl with a tiny camera - like the picture shows. That's because anyone with any upper body mass can hardly fit it over their shoulder. The first time I loaded it anywhere near its touted 10 lb weight limit, the top piece snapped right in half as I tried to situate it on my shoulder. I hadn't even put a load on it yet. Take my advice and spend the money for a real shoulder mount. This is a terrible design that's poorly made.

You get what you pay for.

Saw this selling for twice the amount in Bay Area. Asked if they would match the price and they said no. Not in no hurry for this I ordered from here. B & H is great, but when time came for me to use this, the bracket broke when I was trying it out. Screw was snug tight only. When I was recording for a bit, and uncomfortable, for it's not centered for easy viewing. As I was holding the camera, the bracket snapped. It is made out of plastic. It's just the product, not B&H.

Broke in half

I bought this stabilizer for my HPX250 and it worked fairly well for the two shoots I used it on. I do think that the HPX250 is a bit too much camera for this rig but I had it on, testing something a few days before a shoot, and the main piece that connects the platform for the camera to the shoulder support literally snapped in half. I would post a photo but I have since thrown it out. I think this rig is great for smaller camcorders but not ideal for larger ones like the HPX250.

Breaks easily, could drop your camera

I've had two of these. Both broke. It's made of cheap plastic and only suitable for a light weight point and shoot camera. Great design but should be all metal, then it would get 5 stars

I don,'t know how I got by without it

Makes the camera steady, also gives you added height to be able to shoot over people heads.

Works but uncomfortable

I tested the product for about 30 minutes but found it was very uncomfortable, I'm 6' 5 and weigh 270 lbs and the brace fully opened dod not fit correctly on my should and chest. It did a good job providing support and steadings the video but would not recommend for bigger people. I returned the product.

Poor engineering

This stabilizer only has one screw connector to the camera, which means the camera wants to pivot. Such a small detail shouldn't be that important but is. Other it's fine.
