MeFOTO A0350Q0 Overview

  • 1Description

The titanium colored MeFoto BackPacker Travel Tripod Kit offers a sturdy, compact aluminum alloy tripod that extends to 51.2", supports up to 8.8 lb, and folds down to just over one foot. It's color accent extends to the included, matching Q series ball head.

The tripod's legs can be spread independently, with two-position leg angle stops. A spring-loaded hook is located in a recess at the bottom of the center column, allowing you to hang a heavy object from it for additional stability.

The ball head offers separate head and pan locks, a 360° pan index, and an integral bubble level. An Arca-type quick release plate with a 1/4"-20 camera screw is included in the kit, along with a durable carrying case with a shoulder strap for storage and transport.

The tripod legs can be inverted and folded back 180°. At only 12.6" when folded, this travel friendly tripod can fit inside a back pack or suitcase.
Two Position Leg Angle Stops
For an extra measure of flexibility, tripod legs can be independently locked into place at two different angles to enable shooting in cramped quarters, on uneven terrain or at low camera angles.
Rapid Center Column
Uses the same twist-lock system as the legs for fast setup.
Recessed Center Column Hook
A spring loaded recessed hook, located in the bottom of the center column, allows you to hang a heavy object for increased stability.
Quick Twist Rubber Lock Grips with Anti-Rotation Leg System
MeFoto's rubberized locking grips combined with anti-rotation legs enable fast and fumble-free setup plus weather and dust resistance.
Precision Matched Q Series Ball Head
Dual-action heavy duty ball head with Arca-type compatible quick release plate.
360 Degree Panning
Accurate panoramas can be easily accomplished using the graduated panning scale for accurate image alignment.
Separate Head and Pan Lock

BackPacker Travel Tripod (Titanium) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 273.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Performer This is a nice travel tripod for the money. It's light weight, stable, has a decent ball head and comes with a nice carrying case. It also converts to a monopod which is an extra bonus. My main cameras are Sony's A7R and a6000 which work well with this tripod. I have also used my Canon 5D MKII with the Sigma 150-600 lens without any wobbles. There are many great tripod options available and I think it's real important for you to understand what your needs are and match that to the features, function and price that will work for you. Just remember that selecting the wrong support system will result in the tripod being left in the closet.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from wobbly legs I got this to be able to carry a small tripod in my backpack rather than using my longer tripod, which requires a larger bag. However, this tripod has a major issue detailed below, followed by the pros: Cons: - very wobbly legs: the bottom legs are extremely wobbly and I would say that they are far too wobbly unless you are in an area that has no wind AND you use a remote trigger to take pictures. Otherwise, it is likely to move, even if you hang a weight from the center hook. I was very surprised how weak the bottom legs are. Pros: - light - small size - looks great I really wanted to love this tripod but the legs are a deal-breaker for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect tripod for me I take 360 spherical panoramas so a good tripod is an absolute must for me. My panoramic head and camera and lens weigh around 4 pounds or so, and the ball head has no issue holding all that while pointed down 90 degrees for the nadir shot, though I do have to crank the set screw down with a fair amount of force. It has a hook on the bottom which I hang my backpack from and it really makes the tripod steady and not very likely to tip over, even when taking nadir shots. The quality of this tripod is top notch and it fits rather nicely in my backpack along with all my other gear. It's extremely light weight and it sets up and breaks down very quickly. I couldn't be happier with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelievably compact I had been recommended to purchase a MeFoto tripod by several other photographers. I was reluctant, but am overwhelmingly pleased. Firstly is the size, it is just over a 12 inches long and has it's own carry case. This is perfect since I transport most of my photo gear via motorcycle. It doesn't take up much room or very heavy if I need to wear it on my person. Secondly, it is surprisingly stable for its construction and being aluminum. The majority of my photography is pinholes and long exposures. This is amazing for that. I wish I had purchased this a long time ago. It is certainly going to be my go to tripod for a long time to come. Thirdly, it is available in colors. Who isn't just a little tired of black?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the roads--near or far Really easy to use, intuitive, no need for the instruction booklet. Product was heavier than I thought considering it is marketed for backpacking. Although it's pretty compact. Better to have a sturdier product since why I purchased a tripod is for camera stability.Clever retractable spring-loaded weight hook at the bottom of the center column for things that you want to hang and not have on the ground. Great company, responsive when I called to register product.I'd purchase another product from them after I use this product for a while to see if it lasts the test of time. With a 5 year warranty that feels reassuring.Go Green and happy trails!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great size... no stability I travel all of the time, anything from cars and planes to hiking, and this tripod has changed the way I travel! It's tiny, super light, and comes with a padded travel case, what more could you ask for? Well that's where the con comes in... it's not far from being a full size tripod which is nice, especially for its size and weight, but the screw on the quick release plate absolutely will not stay tight!!! As we all know, this is a huge problem! Because of this the tripod is useless unless! There is no stability in the connection to the plate. I am currently in the process of trying to find a solution to this problem because I truly love all of the other features of this tripod. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. I must add as well, the set up/take down is extremely simple and fast!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this tripod again! I ordered this tripod to take to Europe. Since it arrived I have been using it and am very satisfied with the weight, ease of set up and take down. Due to the light weight, which is a wonderful feature, I will always have my camera strap around my neck when the camera is positioned on the tripod. As advertised this tripod is not for heavy cameras. However, if you need a tripod for travel and your camera is within the limits stated in the specs I could recommend this particular tripod. Another plus, when folded up it fits into my backpack with no problem. Also, I love the green accent color on my tripod!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This tripod rocks!! I purchased this tripod in 2013. It was probably the best tripod I ever bought. The best part is that if folds up which makes for a lot of carry ability. The product itself is well made and all the pieces fit well and are fluid. This is an ARCA SWISS plate type. Love it. The platform that fits onto the camera itself does not have a D ring locking system, but this is not a problem since the screw can be removed easily and a D ring installed in its place. Vello makes the screw as does Induro. Not expensive. All in all, great product. No complaints at all. Buy it. Well worth the money; even more so when on sale.
