77mm Wide-Angle Lens Adapter Ring for 100mm System Filter Holder is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 136.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Essential piece for Lee Foundation Kit For use with Lee Foundation Kit, this is made of machined aluminum. It's designed to hold the frame for holding Lee Filters and is size specific to the lens you will be using. There is the normal and the wide angle version of this. I purchased the wide angle to minimize vignetting on wide angle lens use of the Big Stopper. Ordering is a tad confusing because to use this item you must order this adapter ring to use the Lee Filter Holders. You pay a premium for the Wide Angle version, but it really is needed. All this consists of is a threaded ring (very fine threads) and a groove for snapping the Lee Foundation Kit into.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from For the Lee Foundation Kit Bought the 77mm & 82mm Wide Angle adapter rings to use the Foundation Kit and square filters on my 77mm filter lenses. Works great, just use care screwing on if your filter threads are plastic. Warnings Remove any screw-on filters before attaching this adapter. If you don't, you will have a major problem if the screw-on filter gets stuck on this adapter ring. Its recessed so there's no way to grip the stuck filter on this adapter. Avoid over-tightening, especially if your filter threads are plastic. Only gave it 4 stars because it is expensive for just a threaded ring.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but Overpriced I bought this to couple with the Lee Filters Foundation kit. It allowed me to use the Filter Holder together with all my lenses having the 77mm thread. It is well built and does what is supposed to.Honestly I think all the Lee Holder and adapters are overpriced. If you plan to use the Lee Filter Holder with many lenses having different thread size, I suggest to buy the Lee Adapter Ring in the size of your bigger lens (say a 77mm thread) and then buy all the cheap Step-Up ring you need for the smaller threaded lenses (e.g. 72mm etc.).You will save a lot of money using a $ Step-Up ring instead of buying many different size of the Lee Adapter ring ;-)Please notice, if your step-up ring it's meant to work with a super wide angle lens,in order to avoid or reduce vignetting, buy the thinner type of those step-up you'll find here on B&H too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Order the Proper holder I bought this product to fit my Canon 24-105mm L series, which it does well. I made the mistake of ordering the 100mm version of the filter holder that tightens onto larger lenses, which i subsequently returned and received a full refund. This holder system is great, my only complaints are the fact that there are no threads in the adapter ring to screw in a polarizer. I have a B&W thin circular polarizer that doesn't have a thread on the outside to receive this adapter, so it would be useful to have threads on the ring itself. Also if you use a protector screw-on(UV or Polarizer) you must be careful not to tighten it too much otherwise the filter will remain inside the adapter ring when you remove it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as it should Works as it should. It screws into the inside threads on the front of the lens, which wasn't clear when I ordered it. I really like the interface between this and the foundation. Be careful not to screw it on too tight, especially if you screw it into another filter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Vignette On a Lee Foundation kit with 2 filter slots (one slot removed), you can use a full frame camera and a 16mm wide angle lens with virtually no vignette....fantastic. I can't figure out why Lee asks for double the price over their standard adapter. Regardless, it works like a charm with wide angle lenses.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works but doesn't thread as easily... This adapter rings works great when you get it on - but it doesn't thread onto my lens as easily as I'd like. I am fitting it to a pro lens with clear, well defined grooves and yet it still takes a bit of finger fumbling. While this isn't a huge problem during warmer, nicer, weather - when it is cold, wet, dark etc etc it becomes a pain. All else, it's perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lee Adapter Ring Review I use it to mount my Lee filter holder to all my 77mm filter size lenses. It screws on smoothly, no binding. The filter holder snaps on cleanly and stays on. The only downside is it's not cheap. Just don't lose it.
