The B+W 82mm SC 110 Solid Neutral Density 3.0 Filter is an ND filter with a 1,000x filter factor that provides a 10-stop exposure reduction. Its 3.0 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

To prevent internal ghosting and reflections, each glass surface includes one layer of anti-reflection coating. B+W filters are constructed from Schott glass for increased optical clarity. This filter features an F-Pro brass filter ring for durability as well as jamming prevention.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as advertised I've used this to photograph a beautiful waterfall in the South-East Asian country of Laos. I have been very impressed Do keep in mind that autofocus doesn't work properly as it's really dark and blocks most of the light coming in. What I did was set the focus without the filter, then switch to MF and then screw in the filter. Got some spectacular 20-30 second exposures of the waterfall in bright sunshine. I couldn't be happier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best in Class This the best ND Filter of them all, beware that you are losing 10 stops of light and will have to adjust accordingly your exposure values, I have found it best to manually expose and compensate than to let the camera choose for you, I use it with a Canon 7D Mark II and sometimes the on-board light meter gives an under exposed reading, as I said, manually adjusting is your best and safest bet to a well lit photo. Construction feels very solid and thick, as soon as you grab it you know you have a professional filter in your hands, the filter thread size fits very nicely and tight in a Sigma 24-105mm F4 lens, composing is not that difficult since you can still see what you are aiming with your camera, unlike an Infrared filter that will leave you in total darkness, this will be more than enough. If you want to make long exposures under heavy sun lighting, use a very fast lens wide open in broad daylight and / or you need that shallow depth of field under the sun, this is your filter, it's not cheap but it's the very best, do not let the 10-stop loss of light drive you away, it makes he photos all the more challenging, buy one now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great. No Weird color casts on 6D. Super quality everything. The 1000x reduction in light, it's a lot. Many warn of possible color casts on long exposures with some cameras. My EOS 6D had no colors changed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy customer Bought this product so that I could delve into long exposure photography. Filter appears to be of high quality and screws onto my lens without any difficulty which I can't say happens to some of the more mediocre filters I've used. You get what you pay for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phenomenal What a filter...doesn't stick to the lens creates excellent contrast and absorbed light in a way you won't believe...needles to say you need a remote tripod and some patience this filter has minimal colour shifts and holds up to the task...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well on Tamron 24-70/2.8 I was trying to find a 10-stop filter that I could use on my Tamron 24-70 without vignetting when shooting wide. This worked great! As always, B&H shipping was speedy & dependable and my order was packaged beautifully.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works as advertised Worked just as advertised. Used this to take long exposure photos during the daytime. My long exposure photos came out great and you can't tell there was a filter in place (other than the long exposure effects).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for motion blur This thing is quality. I use it to get motion blur on running water and light trails when shooting traffic. Fits perfectly on my Canon 16-35mm lens, and my Tokina 11-20mm.
