AAXA Technologies P4-X Overview

  • 1Description

The P4-X 125 Lumen WVGA Pico Projector from AAXA Technologies combines ultra-compact, long lasting LED projection technology, a built-in media player, and a plethora of multimedia ports to act as a mobile projection power house. It's a real working projector that weighs under a half pound (0.2kg), and features a 125 lumens of brightness.

The LED light source is rated to last 15,000 hours - over three times longer life than typical incandescent lamp-based projectors. The P4-X comes with a lithium-ion rechargeable battery that's good for up to 90 minutes on a charge. You can recharge it using the included AC wall charger adapter or directly from a USB port. Of course you can always run it on AC power if there's a socket nearby and save your battery power for when you really need it.

With its vivid 2000:1 contrast ratio you can project on a screen or just about anywhere. Next time you're on a road trip sit in the back seat and project a movie or play a video game on the seatback in front of you.

Mini HDMI Connection
The P4-X offers a high resolution mini-HDMI connection for direct connection to your HDMI sources for audio and video up to 720p
Compact Design
At less than 5.6" (14.2 cm) long, 2.7" (6.9 cm) wide, and 1.2" (3 cm) tall the P4-X is both a true pocket projector and a powerful mobile computing platform. The P4-X Pico Projector features a built-in li-ion battery capable of powering the projector for up to 90 minutes on a single charge. Additional features include Micro SD/TF card slot, USB on-the-go, mini-HDMI, composite video input, VGA input, and a 1W onboard speaker
Super Color and Image Quality
The vibrant color technology and triple LED light source in the P4-X produces a vivid display with amazing color saturation
Long Operation Life
Conventional lamp-based projectors require frequent bulb changes with very expensive bulbs that cost hundreds of dollars. The P4-X's LED light source lasts 10 times longer than conventional lamps so bulb changes are a thing of the past
Li-Ion Battery
The P4-X's lithium-ion battery gives you upwards of 90 minutes of operation. Rechargeable and long lasting, the internal lithium-ion battery makes the P4-X a truly portable unit
Real Quick On and Off
Long warm-up and cool down times, sometimes for several minutes, are required for projectors using traditional lamps. The LED light source enables the P4-X to achieve full brightness within seconds. Of course, it turns off instantly as well
Versatile Multimedia Support
Onboard media player supports popular file formats
Share movies, videos, photos with friends and family
Bring presentations anywhere and everywhere
Enjoy gaming and entertainment without large TV's
Environmentally Friendly
The P4-X's LED light source consumes less power. The LED is also 100% free of mercury and as the bulb never needs to be replaced, there are no discarded bulbs

    AAXA Technologies P4-X Reviews

P4-X 125 Lumen WVGA Pico Projector is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 38.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Projector with some drawbacks Pros:The projector certainly throws a surprisingly sharp image for its size and weight.Appreciate the trip-pod connection at bottomInternal battery for semi-wireless performance (albeit short periods)Cons:No option for keystone = you have to project perpendicular to a surface.Loud, after a few minutes the thing sounds like it is going to explode. I assume this is the fan.The mini vga cable that came with the machine broke at the connector after just two uses.Would like to see a more precise lever for focus, even if this came with added costNot sure if it is worth the money? Just for the size?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Size, Very Loud, Low Brightness I really wanted to like this product. Perfect size for taking it with you everywere at a good price. Easy to set up and great to use with iPhone and iPad. Unfurtunately this Pico is very Loud, so loud that I would feel embarrassed to use it for work meetings. I don't know if the one I had was defective but the fan made a terrible noise. The other problem is with brightness, you can only use it on a very dark room, evena small light in the room will make really hard to see the images. I wanted to get a pico projector to use for casual business meetings but this one is not good for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pico Projector Initially I had concerns of the 95 lumens brightness but to my surprise in a decently darkened room it was very clear. My primary use of the projector is for presentation and watching movies. Fan noise can be noticeable but people don't seem to be noticing it. I'm a little picky when it comes to how the product is but for what its worth I'm really glad with this purchase. A lot of people who see the projector are amazed by what this little unit can do. I was able to squeeze in a whole movie on one charge for the projector, but it was really close. So I guess the advertised 90 minutes is fairly close.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely Happy Extremely happy with my purchase. I use this at work sometimes and at home in a dark room. So I can get a nice image out of the projector. I like the convenience of the size and the compatibility of formats it can play for movies and photos. Sound isn't all that great so I prefer to either use it for photos solely like at work, or connect to external speakers through the headphone jack. The tripod it comes with is okay, but what can you expect for a free tripod. Just make sure you are using in a dark room, just like any other projector with that level of lumens.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Portable but weak in areas It does most of what you'd expect, but the focusing wheel is so tight that you cant turn it without moving the projector. Also, I wish I'd have done my homework as far as lumens, it needs to be twice as bright to be of any use in a dimly lit room. Interface is good and setup is good so far... I use it to project drawings onto canvases, so I can trace scanned sketches.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from better than expected! Saw both great reviews and not so great reviews so I had some concerns prior to purchase. After I received the product, I didn't encounter any of the issues other customers had said they dealt with so I am assuming people dont know the difference between an HDMI and VGA cable.. This little projector is very portable but does have some limitation in terms of brightness. It will not replace your traditional full size projector but if you have any control of the ambient light it works wonders. One major flaw is the speakers are a bit weak but this is easily solved with a standard external speaker or headphone connection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love that there is HDMI The HDMI connection on this thing lets me connect to all my computers and gaming consoles and phone easily. Aside from that its pretty easy to use, simple menu system and good colors. Its about 1/4 the size of my previous projector which is the main reason I got the lil guy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 80'' Screen with Battery - Great product I was surprised honestly how well put this product was as well as how powerful it is. I bought this per my gf's request so she can use it for her art but I have found myself using it more for entertainment. We had a small get together where I was able to project our vacation video, everyone was not only impressed but it gave me an idea for the versatility of the batter pack. Since then I've adapted it to my teaching my kids, bedroom theaters, and just a small portable screen on the go with TV from my phone.

Maybe. It is quite bright as long as you don't have the image too large. 2x3 feet maybe.
