The XGA-resolution BenQ LX60ST DLP Projector, with its 2000 ANSI lumens and 80000:1 contrast ratio, works just as well in a home media room as it does in a brightly-lit classroom, auditorium or lecture hall.
In addition to being bright, those images will be vivid and beautiful thanks to the LX60ST's BlueCore, a light engine that utilizes the unparalleled qualities of a laser light source to achieve optimized energy efficiency, projection performance and readiness. The BlueCore light engine can dim the light source power up to 90% and still achieve a contrast ratio as high as 80000:1. This allows students to learn with ultra sharp images and text so they can focus their attention on learning.
This projector can operate just about anywhere in the world. It can handle power from 100 to 240 V AC at 50/60Hz. Its onscreen display offers 28 languages to choose from. The LX60ST can process and display video signals in NTSC (the North American TV standard), PAL and SECAM.
It can also project in 720p, 1080i and 1080p high definition and those signals will stay in pure digital form from their source to the projector thanks to the LX60ST's HDMI v 1.3 port.
But the LX60ST has virtues beyond its flexibility. Economical mode lowers fan noise to that of a whispered conversation and extends lamp life too. The SmartEco mode automatically determines the optimal brightness depending on the input source. This special mode cleverly adjusts the light source power to maximize power saving - delivering the best contrast and brightness performance at the same time.
But perhaps the LX60ST's most interesting and unusual feature is its comes with iPad and / or iPhone wireless display support to expand onscreen content to over 80" (2 m) and empower teachers to teach freely in class.
