Key Features
  • 1-Stop Graduated ND Filter
  • Reduce Exposure in Selective Areas
  • Density Transitions from Edge to Middle
  • Hard-Edged Line of Transition
Helping to balance exposure when working in high-contrast situations, the 100 x 150mm Hard Graduated Neutral Density 0.3 Filter from LEE Filters is specifically designed to selectively control brightness in difficult lighting. The filter's design places the 0.3, 1-stop density at the top of the filter and then transitions to clear by the center of the filter for a gradual, natural appearance. The hard-edge transition between the density and clear areas is well-suited for photographing scenes with an even, distinct horizon line, as well as when working with long or telephoto lenses. This filter is constructed from optical resin that is both durable and helps to maintain high clarity, and is compatible with the LEE 100mm filter holder.

LEE Filters 3NDG-H Overview

Helping to balance exposure when working in high-contrast situations, the 100 x 150mm Hard Graduated Neutral Density 0.3 Filter from LEE Filters is specifically designed to selectively control brightness in difficult lighting. The filter's design places the 0.3, 1-stop density at the top of the filter and then transitions to clear by the center of the filter for a gradual, natural appearance. This filter is constructed from optical resin that is both durable and helps to maintain high clarity, and is compatible with the LEE 100mm filter holder.

Graduated neutral density places the most density at the edge of the filter and tapers to clear by the center of the filter in order to accommodate photographing scenes with large bright areas, such as a daytime sky.
Hard-edge transition between density and clear portions of the filter is suitable for photographing scenes with a distinct, well-defined horizon or line between light and shadow, and is also best-suited for use with a long or telephoto lens.
Neutral density 0.3 provides a 1-stop reduction in light in selective areas.
Constructed from optical resin for overall clarity and durability.
Compatible for use with the LEE 100mm filter holder.
Included filter pouch protects the filter when not in use.

LEE Filters 3NDG-H Reviews

Essential filter for contrast landscapes

I already had a .6 GND Hard-edge filter and wanted to add another to increase the darkening. The .3 GND Hard-edge is perfect to use by itself or as an addition to the .6 filter Also, you can get some interesting results by combining a hard-edge with a soft edge given the right circumstances. The filter is light-weight, accurate and doesn't cast any tint that I can see.

Can't Go Wrong with Lee

I've used Cokin, Hitech and Singh-Ray grad NDs extensively. None of them hold a candle to these Lee filters. Lee grads are the most neutral filters on the market, the size is perfect, great construction and excellent transition - not too sharp, not too soft.

Can't go wrong with Lee Filters

I started out with Cokin P series with Lee Filters and upgraded to the complete Lee System. For wide angle shots you really need the wider filters. The .3 grad takes away one stop and is best for when the light is low. I've gotten some great shots with these filters and my photography has improved. You wonder why they are so expensive? They are hand made and the slightest imperfection, they are thrown out. Lee filters are a good investment.

Careful of scratches

Does what it is supposed to do. Scratches easily, so you have to be careful. Noticed some issues with small scratches, straight out of the packaging, on the product I received. Could be a fluke, but I also purchased the soft edge filter and had the same issue. Not the highest quality available, but you get what you pay for. Still works for what it is intended, but I have to stay mindful of stray light that may leak through the scratches in the neutral density coating.
