The beige H6 Omnidirectional Headset with Detachable Cable and TA3F Connector for Samson Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a low-profile headset microphone that combines the transparent sounding E6 Earset with a comfortable, lightweight, and adjustable headframe. Weighing less than one-tenth ounce, it can be used as a water- and wind-resistant mic for capturing audio in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, omnidirectional H6 Headset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers forget they're wearing a mic. Three sensitivity options cover general speaking to extremely powerful vocals, and four color options allow you to match the H6 to your skin tone for minimum visibility. The H6 features a sealed connector with moisture resistance, a slim cable, and protective caps (+0, +4, and +8 dB) to adjust the frequency response. It is also available as a directional microphone with cardioid and hypercardioid caps.

This omnidirectional H6 Headset's cable terminates to a TA3F connector for direct connection to a Samson CT3, CT7, VT2L, VT3L, UT1L, or T32 wireless bodypack transmitter.

Sweat-Proof Connector
The H6 Headset detaches from the cable with a rugged, tightly-sealed snap connection.
Robust Design
Stainless steel tubing and wire provide maximal durability in a sleek design.
Adjustable Earloops
Both earloops slide in and out to achieve a comfortable and secure fit on the head.
Adjustable Length
The boom slides independently of the earloops to place the mic right at the mouth.
Subminiature Capsule
The tiny 0.1" diameter capsule virtually disappears when worn and delivers natural audio quality. The directional version provides warmth and extreme isolation, while the omni version has a natural response with a minimum of wind or handling noise.
Replaceable Cables
An H6 snap-on 1.2mm diameter replacement cable installs in seconds. It provides a tight seal against moisture, is rugged, and available for almost any wireless transmitter or for XLR inputs with phantom power.
Sensitivity
For general speaking.

Countryman H6 Reviews

Dual ear is the way to go!

We had to wait for these because they were on back order. Worth it! The dual ear makes the wearer feel very confident. The mic does not move, and the wearer does not need to touch or adjust it. We are very pleased with the result.

Using this for our studio work and I have to say, WOW! Great name and great quality! Couldn't be happier!

Most natural sounding mic.

Very natural sound. Plenty of volume before feedback. I love the fact that the wire can be replaced if it goes bad VS replacing the whole mic. Something that has happened to us twice before. As usual B&H were very fast and accurate. Their product descriptions on their website are better than anybody... I go there first to compare any purchases.

Worked good at first

This mic seem to work a intended at first in 2016, then later it started having popping or scrapping sounds, almost like the mic was too hot. For it's price i was hoping it would have lasted longer.

Dual ear, rock solid performer!

I bought 2 of these for use in live broadcasts of church services. Our speakers/ministers are in love with the ease of adjustment and improved sound quality from the Countryman H6. We could not be more pleased with this purchase. Absolutely worth the price!

Double ear is the way to go!

I have been using the single ear version for years, but recently wanted to give the double ear version a try. After receiving these two, I have to say I cannot believe I waited so long to go dual ear. There is literally zero movement of mic when wearing it. No more bending the mic or using medical tape to hold it on the face (yuck!). Fantastic mic and I love the dual ear version.

question

Band colors for countryman headset?
Asked by: Anonymous
Countryman designates the sensitivities of the mics in 2 ways, a letter/number combination, and associated band color. They are as follows, W5 = no colored band is for general speaking. W6 = blue band is for very loud speaking, or vocal performance, and W7 = purple band with headroom for the most powerful vocal performance.

question

Hello.I wanted to know if is a TA4F Mini-XLR option for this headset? Thanks
Asked by: NFCC M.
Yes, there are H6 headsets available with a TA4F connector. Please be aware that the connectors are wired for use with specific wireless transmitters, so even if the connector type is the one you need, it may not work with your transmitter. For example, Beyerdynamic, Mipro, Sabine all use TA4F connectors, but the internal wiring of the connectors is different. Please contact us before placing your order and we can help you to select a mic that is compatible for use with your wireless system. You can reach us by phone at 800-606-6969.

question

Just bought this. The whole mic arm picks up sound even a beard or turning of the head. The mic itself with a wind screen picks up all of the pastors ps and bs. Our gain is way down. Solutions?
Asked by: Phil N.
Best practice for using the H6 would be to position the mic slightly below the mouth and extend the boom too far forward. This will help eliminate the popping p s and sibilant s sounds. Also making sure the boom and capsule is not touching the users cheek which muffles the sound and cause rubbing that would be picked up by the mic.

question

What is the maximum distance from ear lobe to ear lobe?
Asked by: Richard W.
I dont think there is a single answer to that question. Everyone has a different size head and different size ear lobes. So I dont think there is a single maximum distance from lobe to lobe.
