2 Year Drops & Spills Warranty is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would not own a camera without this coverage I had occasion to use ST two times while under warranty: once when accidentally dropping the camera and when it failed to function. Both times ST kept me informed of receipt, expected turn around time and followed through. In the second case ,which was dependent on obtaining manufacturer's parts, there was a delay in response and ST followed up on my behalf. When it was determined that parts were no longer available and the manufacturer had discontuned the line I was sent a check for full purchase price. I would not consider buying a camera w/o a ST warranty

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not good value This product is expensive when compared to the option offered on @, for which I paid slightly less for twice the coverage - 4 years rather than 2 years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always get one for a camera Most cameras are well-built and those with faults are usually noticed at the beginning. The purpose for getting a warranty is for your own mistakes. I once put a camera on a small desk tripod, and it fell over onto the floor, breaking the lens. After that, I've learned to always put one leg of a tripod in front of the camera so that won't happen again. The point is, you never know when something will happen.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lots of exclusions. Haven't used the warranty yet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hoping For ther Best Hoping I never need to use it, but if I do, I hope (again) that they live-up to their promises and their advertising. Bought it because there are 2 things to consider with digital cameras: frequency of repair and severity of repair. While digital cameras do NOT fail very often, the severity (cost) is high if they do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Insurance Not knowing how I would like the small grip of my new Canon EOS-M (or how the grip would like me), and the fact that I will be taking this camera to Italy for three weeks, I wanted to have some accident insurance for a reasonable price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Why would I need it? Probably I do not. So, what is the use of that? What does it cover? As in any protection or warranty plan, if extra money was spent, one feels like a waist. Don't you think a manufacturer warranty should be enough?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Insurance! This is great insurance. You're sure to have a problem with your electronics at some point and this provides full coverage for any problem you might encounter.
