The Heliopan Bay 50-58mm Step-Up Ring is a reliable and economical way to use filters. For example, a 49-52mm Step-Up ring would allow you to use 52mm filters on lenses with a 49mm front filter thread size.

Note: Heliopan also produces Step-Down Rings, which allow smaller sized filters to be used on lenses with larger front filter thread sizes. For example, a 52-49mm Step-Down Ring would allow a 49mm filter to be used on a lens with a front filter thread size of 52mm. Care must be taken using Step-Down rings in order to avoid vignetting.

Small, efficient way to save space and money at the same time
Allows user to buy fewer filters but continue to shoot the images they want
Well-crafted to superior Heliopan standards

    Bay 50-58mm Step-up Ring #901 is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Solid build but am I missing something? I bought this Heliopan Bay 50-58 Step-up ring along with a B + W 58mm 3 stop ND filter to use on my Zeiss Planar T* 80mm f/2.8 lens. I've never used a bayonet style filter or adapter before and I was expecting it to snap into place or something. I don't know how to explain it but I can very easily screw it on and off almost to the point that I'm afraid it'll unscrew on its own and fall off while carrying my camera. As far as the contact between the adapter and the filter, it's very tight and hard to unscrew once the filter is on. I don't know if it's because it's brass on brass. Those things aside it's solidly built.
