Axis Communications Q1922-E overview

  • 1Description

The Q1922-E Outdoor Thermal Network Camera (35mm Lens) from Axis Communications is an out-of-the-box, outdoor-ready surveillance solution that is ideal for detecting people, objects and incidents in complete darkness or in bad visibility conditions like smoke, haze, dust and light fog.

The 35mm telelphoto lens of this thermal camera offers a viewing angle of 18° and allows for an excellent object detection range. With an uncooled microbolometer image sensor, this camera captures images of objects at VGA (640 x 480) resolution. Real-time surveillance footage can be viewed on 3 separate H.264 and MJPEG streams at a maximum frame rate of 30 fps. In addition, intelligent features like motion and audio detection, brightness, exposure control, image rotation, and mirroring of images add to the versatility and recording flexibility of this camera.

All the recorded footage is compressed in H.264 and MJPEG formats for maximum storage and bandwidth efficiency. The SD/SDHC memory card slot facilitates use of an external memory card (not included) for on-camera video storage.

As the sensor of this thermal camera is dependent on temperature changes, it is less sensitive to changing lighting conditions. Therefore, you can add this thermal camera to an existing surveillance system to strengthen it even further. With ONVIF compliance, this camera offers superb flexibility by enabling integration into surveillance systems with products from different manufacturers.

Thermal imaging allows for operation in complete darkness and difficult conditions such as smoke, haze, dust, and light fog
35mm telephoto lens offers a viewing angle of 18°
Telephoto lens enables the camera to detect vehicles and people up to a distance of 10,498' (3,200 m) and 3,444' (1,050 m) respectively
Uncooled microbolometer image sensor with a pixel size of 17μm
Detects objects at VGA (640 x 480) resolution
Image resolution can be scaled up to D1 (800 x 600 pixels)
Audio and video motion detection feature activates alarms in case of unusual sounds or movement
Privacy masking function allows you to block certain portions of an image for security reasons
Full-duplex 2-way audio streaming allows for communication with visitors or potential intruders
H.264 and MJPEG compression formats ensure optimum footage quality even with limited bandwidth or storage
Tri-streaming in H.264 and MJPEG video formats either at full frame rates (30 fps) or individually optimized for different quality needs and bandwidth constraints
