The Q1922-E Outdoor Thermal Network Camera (60mm Lens) from Axis Communications is an out-of-the-box, outdoor-ready surveillance solution that is ideal for detecting people, objects and incidents in complete darkness or in bad visibility conditions like smoke, haze, dust and light fog.
The 60mm extra telephoto lens of this thermal camera offers a viewing angle of 10° and allows for an excellent object detection range. With an uncooled microbolometer image sensor, this camera captures images of objects at VGA (640 x 480) resolution. Real-time surveillance footage can be viewed on 3 separate H.264 and MJPEG streams at a maximum frame rate of 30 fps. In addition, intelligent features like motion and audio detection, brightness, exposure control, image rotation, and mirroring of images add to the versatility and recording flexibility of this camera.
All the recorded footage is compressed in H.264 and MJPEG formats for maximum storage and bandwidth efficiency. The SD/SDHC memory card slot facilitates use of an external memory card (not included) for on-camera video storage.
As the sensor of this thermal camera is dependent on temperature changes, it is less sensitive to changing lighting conditions. Therefore, you can add this thermal camera to an existing surveillance system to strengthen it even further.
