I purchased this adapter for my Canon EOS M50 Mark II and it works great adapting my EF lenses. I tested my Sigma 15-35 F1.8 Art lens on their to test autofocus and had no issues with speed attempting to hunt for focus (I did not notice any appreciable differences). Worked really well and all features on the lens was supported and detected by the camera. I was pleasantly surprised. I had thought about buying a cheaper adapter but figured, why would I spend more on a lens and cheap out on the adapter?

I'm glad I purchased this item for my M6 MKII. I have two EF L lenses that I have been able to use on this camera besides the nifty fifty as well. It's very handy indeed.

Good option for adapting EF lens on an EF-M camera

I chose the canon specific adapter which certainly cost more than other options but when spending money on good lenses and a good camera why cheap out on the adapter. This comes with the built in mount which I'm pretty sure was designed to force you to mount further toward the lens instead of the camera body. Definitely helps remind that the bigger lenses are the heavier part of the support equation which avoids mistakes in not properly supporting your lens.

No, it doesn't change the minimum focus distance or affect the amount of light striking the sensor.

Sigma lenses work as well as Canon EF lenses. I am currently using the Sigma 17-70mm f2.8-4 lens as my walk around lens on my m50 without any problems.
