The RocketRAID 644L 4‐Port eSATA 6 Gbps PCIe 2.0 x4 RAID Host Adapter from HighPoint is a cost-effective, high-performance eSATA 6 Gbps RAID storage Host Bus Adapter (HBA) ideal for desktop PCs and workstations. With its full height form factor, this second generation host controller utilizes a PCIe 2.0 x4 host bus interface. Powered by HighPoint's industry‐proven RAID technology, the RocketRAID 644L supports both non-RAID and RAID configurations for fast eSATA 6 Gbps hard disks and SSDs. The intuitive BIOS and web‐based management interfaces allow you to quickly and easily configure RAID 0, 1, 5, 10 and JBOD arrays.

The RocketRAID 644L is fully backwards compatible with PCIe 1.0 x4, x8 and x16 slots. It features 4 independent eSATA ports that support up to 4 eSATA hard disks and SSDs of any generation. It supports up to 20 SATA devices via a port multiplier capable enclosure. Moreover, the HBA features hot plug and hot swap functions. It also has an alarm/buzzer. The RocketRAID 644L is compatible with Mac, Windows and Linux operating systems.
