This 82mm Tiffen Water White Glass ND Filter is a solid ND filter with a filter factor of 32x that provides a 5-stop exposure reduction. Its 1.5 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

This filter is not coated, Tiffen does make a series of multi-coated ND filters called Digital HT which can be found at the link below. Coating provide the filter with scratch resistance, makes it easier to clean and helps to prevent reflections.
